Anybody running older hardware needs to either run this at 1080 or choose the 900p or 720p res patches. Also probably shouldn't try 60 fps, you ain't gonna get it. Stay away from the remaster project mod or anything else that tries to adjust visual fidelity as that will tank fps. Also also wik, some of the crashes you may experience are due to sound. Get Sfx crash fix on Nexus it has helped immensely for me.

@Zxredits69 heyyy so... I spent like 2 hours trying to figure it out and I discovered something. I don't know if it's your case too, but I have an ancient CPU, it's like Intel core i7 from the 3rd generation or something like that. It's so incredibly old that it simply CANNOT understand and read .pkg files... these files require something called AVX 2, which stands for something I don't really understand... In short, if your CPU is old like mine, the Shadps4 crashes because they can't deal with those kinds of files, which means you can't really play any games that come from .pkg If your CPU is not that old, I don't really know what could be. I hope you can find your solution nevertheless! :)

Thank you so much for this guide! It worked and I played for an hour. I have 2 peoblems so far. Audio is bugged. Enemies speaking and hit sounds are missing and there are graphical bugs like the Character model is distorted and for example the weapon or fqce or cloak is sometimes clipping through the whole map. Aly idea on how to fix that?

I have been able to fix the audio by replacing the audio files in the game folder, also make sure to have the libs as I had this issue prior to add them

for me my emulator will only let me select the goldhen cheats and patches, will this affect my performance? ive gotten 60fps in some spots in yharnam and ive only beaten cleric beast, i really like this game so far. most big areas are about 40fps, i have a ryzen 7 3700x, 2080 super, and 16 gigs of ram tho so idk if its just my hardware. i could try 30fps and wait for more patches to come out for 60 but im not sure.

About 30GB for the game files The mods are optional but it's very much recommended that you get them right now, to improve performance and minimize crashes And yes you can get a version that already has the patch

Sounds like you have an application on your PC that's making your controller take over your mouse Steam can do that, if you have it open fully close it and test

Yeah, input lag was never a problem to me in general, even on PCSX2 emulator Turn off the 30FPS patch and enable vsync, the lag will be much better but frame pacing will get worse
