EN | Bosch Multi-camera system - All-around vision when parking and maneuvering

With the multi-camera system from Bosch, drivers can focus their attention in the right places during parking and maneuvering. The system consists of four near-range cameras that capture the vehicle's entire surroundings. Ultrasonic sensors measure distances to obstacles. The real world and virtual world merge together on the monitor. The driver sees their vehicle as a detailed 3D model. The vehicle's surroundings appear in real-time images, creating a seemless picture without interfering lines where images have been stitched together.

It would also be nice to see this put to use as a multi camera dash camera system. With that most of the parts are already there so why not? If you make and sell that there is a huge market for it. More and more people are using dash cameras every day and it is mostly to protect themselves from insurance fraud and false police reports. Make it so that the video is downloadable from it. Do that yet make sure that there is no way to tamper with the video or erase it without a password or even biometric lock of some sort. Design it so it will not function if stolen too unless the owner of it unlocks it.

It would also be nice to have what I mentioned as a kit that anyone can buy and install or have installed. Some newer cars already have all of the cameras in place but I don't know if they would work for it.

none, the surrounding cameras are fused into one 360 video which is displayed in a 3d engine and the blindspots in the center of the 3d-scene is filled by the car-model.So you see basically a gamescene with a live-video of the enviroment.

it's now available on most cars with varying degrees of automation. The Nissan I drive gives me 360 view if I need it and will warn if I am about to hit something.

You kinda sound like someone in the 90's asking "why are people so interested in the world wide web, it's such a fad, what's the big deal?" The thing is, every new car will eventually have a camera system like this. Might be 15 years, maybe only 10. So you better figure out how to warm up to the idea.
