En ooru, the first tribal heritage village in the State set up on 25 acres on the slope of a hillock at Pookode.The comprehensive tribal development project was aimed at setting up a permanent platform to showcase the diverse tribal traditional knowledge and heritage as well as to enhance the livelihood options of tribal communities. The ₹10-crore project is jointly implemented by the Tourism and the Scheduled Tribe Development departments.

3:30 good example for waste disposal Sprite bottle lying on the floor now itself, not even a single waste bin seen there. Why aren't there smart people who care for cleanliness. I'm sure in 6 months this place will be filled with waste mineral water bottles and Lays packets. Waste management should be the first priority at tourist destinations. Hope they look into this matter. It's a lovely place, nice initiative by the tourism department. Hope they maintain it clean
