As much as I enjoyed this group, you can tell they had primed Terri for a solo career. The industry always dresses the member they think will be successful differently to the others. They all had beautiful voices and looks. I liked the group but Dawn, Maxine and Terri showed more personality I was only 10 when they came out and I'm 38 now, how time flies. They stayed classy and I'll always appreciate them for carrying themselves as ladies and promoting positive representation.

Welll… Sylvia Rhone didn’t like the early talks from Dawn about money… then Dawn was trying to let the girls know they were free and clear of their publishing deal and couldn’t left the label and go to Atlantic - Silvia shelved Dawn shit and Terry (who’s my fave) was dating one of two producers … Dawn stated Terry told her then man about the girls talk and it went down hill….

Thx for uploading this as it brings back great memories for me, and it’s GREAT to see it again, but I think ur missing one part as I recall. There was a part on the interview where I think Cindy said Dawn was having trouble with her voice while recording the song, “Giving Him Something He Can Feel” and she needed a vocal coach or therapist or whatever he was while recording the song to help her and the other girls felt sorry for her when this was happening.

Yeah, I remember that as well. There's actually a lot missing from this recording. I remember Donnie asking them if they ever get tired of singing "Hold On" and they said they never get tired of watching the video. I also remember Terry being silly acting like she was about to bust out some rhymes. Regardless, I appreciate the upload...brings back lots of memories.

robert mitchell, there was more. They were talking about them recording “GHSHCF” and Dawn had a problem with her voice while recording and needed a vocal coach or therapist. She even said the guy’s name during the interview who worked with her to help her thru it. His name was Gary Gatoland or something like that. She(Dawn) also said he worked with other famous people like Jasmine Guy with her voice. I also remember Terry and Cindy joking with her during the interview talking about they were crying when this happened. And then Dawn ended it with “I’m fine now you can hear it on the album.”

Of curse I love EV, but I'd also like to say something about Donnie Simpson. During the heyday of the urban music video scene in the 80's and early 90's Donnie always represented class and sophistication. The deep voice, laid back style and smile always signaled something special happening and I was a true fan. In this interview, he appears a little star struck, being a little tongue tied and prone to giggling at times. Completely understandable considering his company.
