Thanks! The trick of using bitlocker (1:35) was an easy fix for me. After restarting the TPM was running and I just canceled the bitlocker process. The bad news is that Windows is telling me my computer can't run TPM 2, and so can't work with Windows 11. I'm just going to ignore these messages for now.

Note: some or all BIOS settings need to have a password in order for the TPM options to be editable

My Desktop PC model is HP 110-016in in which I couldn't find "Embedded Security Device" option When I checked up to "Device Security". As per System summary TPM is not usable When checked tpm.msc option the message shown is " Compatible TPM can not be found on thism computer. Verify tht this computer has a 1.2 TPM or later and it is turned on in BIOS." Please advise.

Hello, That happened to me some days when trying to install win 11 on dell computer from 2018. The issue most likely is the processor. Windows 11 needs at least an intel core 8th generation or above, I dont remember the specifics for AMD. Now, there is an official way to install win 11 on computers that dont meet the processor requirements. I haven’t tried it myself yet, but the process is straight forward. If you google “upgrade computer to windows 11 on unsupported hardware microsoft”. The 1st or 2nd result will be a microsoft website with the steps. Hope it helps Thanks for the comment

Suppose you want to update the TPM from 1.2 to 2.0... but you don't want to enable BitLocker ? Can it be done? Hello, On most manufacturers the TPM option will be under the “security” tab. In most cases it’ll be something like: “TPM: enable/disable”. Specifically in HP models it might be named something else, but the words security/encryption could be visible as well to identify TPM . If there is nothing like that, the computer might not have TPM. Now, another option is to check the online manual. Type in google/bing/duckduckgo the name of the computer + manual. That way you can be 100% sure whether the computer has TPM on not. Hope it helps Thanks for the comment

Hello, There is an official method from Microsoft to install win 11 on computers with older CPU, but as of today the computer needs at least TPM 1.2 to work correctly. Hope it helps Thanks for the comment.
