The minister has and continues to emphasize that most of the people staying in these buildings can afford to pay rent at proper establishment. Be it that majority is foreigners or not, the problem is not with our people. The banks, and rental laws, the system used to determine credit worthiness have become so unchivalrous, that it granted only a few. The corruption in human settlement departments is also something we cannot ignore, people paying their way for their applications to be pushed to the top. It's sad that people pay with their lives for the avariciousness of those who should uphold the law. May the souls of those lost, rest in peace.
