One of the likely consequences, if the Bela Bill is forced through as it is, is that Afrikaners(most) in particular is going to feel that their trust has been violated on a very personal level. We tend to take take our childrens future very seriously. How long before a network of excellent private Afrikaans medium schools is available? This a workable solution, its just sad. Its sad that Afrikaners is made to feel unwelcome and blamed for the obvious failures of the government. It is sad that Afrikaners are vilified for being different and fighting for what they care about. Its sad that their views, evidence based, pragmatic and positive as it may be, is sold as "misinformation" or " "because racism". I would prefer it if we work together on win-win model that benefits all our children. Setting up Afrikaans on a route for deletion is not win-win. Denying the likelihood of this outcome is either dishonest/malicious or grotesquely ignorant.

"Afrikaaners" had years to make space for others but chose exclusion. It was a choice. So a choice was made to close that legal loophole and make the SGB comply with the Constitution. Good. Now you are crying? Sorry for you. You had a chance to join SA freely but you didn't. Tough luck if now the law forces you to.

@@craigmoola7108 Your perception of "space" is a delusion. There is, and was for the past 30 years more than enough "space" and opportunities to build the foundations to flourish. Instead, you scapegoat a minority while you squandered the goodwill, support and power you had(and still have). The list of failures is biblical. Not only that but when that minority tries to help, their hand is slapped away and they are dismissed and vilified. As for exclusion (and "inclusion"),... these are useful and functional terms, but the absurd, insane, extreme level it is applied these days is ideological brainwashing. The amount of damage done by race grifters to maintain political power is substantial. For your well-being, start thinking about it more critically. Exclusion is as normal and necessary as breathing. Forced inclusion is equally as morally reprehensible as forced segregation. The things that make it bad are when it becomes "forced" and "extreme" and when it is unfair (eg, race is used when merit matters or race is used because of hatred/entitlement). Based on your comment you support taking away choice (forced) and you support extreme, micro-level inclusion. I support freedom and believe it or not, inclusion (based on reality where freedom is respected) as well. I have very little faith in the ability of our courts to see through your well-repeated strawman argument. There is a good chance that you will win your short-sighted battle in court. Just know, Afrikaners will, as always adapt, that they want to be part of the solution, without betraying themselves and that all of us could have been a lot further if leaders did not gaslight so many people about who and what te real problem is.

@@flabbadaheat What about(ism).... the fact that I explicitly stated that we want to work on a win-win solution. Does that come down to "deviding" people? Or does violating what peolple care about and forcing your will on them result in distrust and division? Access to quality education is crucial, but simplifying this massive challenge, which is 99.9% due to failures of this government, down to the 4% remaining Afrikaans schools is not going to help with "uniting" us, nor is going to have any meaningful impact on access to quality education. The solution lies in pragmatic, systematic measures, building capacity and winning trust through results.

It DOES make sense if you know how bad Home Affairs is in many areas, throw in poverty, lack of transport, and any social disadvantage you can think of. Having schooling is way more critical for our society than having a piece of paper and leaving many children out of the system. Privilege is imagining because a factor does not affect you personally it does not affect any other person.
