JJ, you are spot on. But my other issue is the reckless driving on our roads. I was driving from Joburg to Eastern Cape. People are always in a hurry. See how they overtake. They are in a hurry so much that they disregard the barrial line , risking their own lives and other road users. Sometimes I so wish there was a law that all vehicles should have dashboard cameras to capture all unlawful and recklessness on the road.

Add alcohol to the mix my brother! Total chaos! Even if it was mandated for all of us to have cameras, LE will not do diddly squat! The culture of accepting bribes in our LE agencies is a big problem in our country. I used to drive on Hendrik Potgieter Drive and offramp into 14th Avenue towards MTN. Do you know how many people were crossing the barrier line there because they were impatient to wait in the que! The near misses that I witnessed would make your heart stop. I took it upon myself to contact LE. I made multiple calls to Roodepoort Traffic Department and the guy who was supposed to be in charge, just laughed at me! Basically just dismissed me. This non-chalant attitude is a big problem. They prefer to pick up dead bodies on our roads instead. What a shame.
