Blaise Compaer was supported by the west, that was why he enjoyed 27 years of reign

First I want to express my deep sorrow for the demise of an African giant, Thomas Sankara. His fate bespeaks of the plight of our motherland Africa and the unjustified grip of terror and injustice she suffers from her perpetual colonial masters ie France, Britain, the Portuguese and others. Thomas Sankara, Patrice Lumumba, Kwame Nkrumah, Savimbi, Robert Mugabe, Muomah Khadafi, Madiba (Nelson Mandela) and others are the true heroes of Africa. A case in point, our young and dynamic Thomas Sankara was a true African patriot. His manifesto is an African manifesto, a model to be enshrined in the annals of the psyche of Africans and all the oppressed peoples of the world. His motto was self determination, a struggle that continues even to this day. Be aware that it will not be easy to break the grip of colonialism on Africa. Now we are in a state of "neo-neo" colonialism. Africans, as long as we still possess the bulk of the world's resources, we will know no peace, unless we unite. The solution? A cultural revolution in Africa. Africa has to finally meet Africa. We must first know and understand who we are and our position in the world before we can present a united front against a world whose aim is to subjugate us to injustices so they can steal from us. We have no friends anywhere. We must stick together and resist attempts to turn us against each other. Wakanda! A destination we must work towards. Our destiny does not lie in the hands of other. It lies with us. Stop taking loans from the IMF and the Chinese. If Africa is not allowed to participate on equal footing in the world economy, then we must shot the world out our continent and live the way the universe has shown us; off the vast land and sea that nature has blessed us with. Keeping our minerals in our beautiful lands and seas. Our environment will thank us for it. We have everything that we need!

It's not the oppressed that should be blamed for the actions that led to their suffering . That would be like blaming the woman for being raped or the slaves for their enslavement . It's a very shallow train of thought.

There's a great difference between a guest(invited) and a home invasion . Much like how rape and love making can be technically the same activity with mere consent as the thin layer separating the 2

The lack of deeply institutionalized governance in Africa makes dictatorship inevitable.

Sankara was a Marxist and would fit sure have dropped the nonsense due to politico-economic realities. It's painful he died, but I see no difference.

This guy he says Blaise did well at home wow... Which is why the country is still as poor as it is. when will Africans realize stabilization means nothing if it doesn't aggressively drive progress and growth of the African people. Stability is very similar to wanting to not take any risks Blaise has not freed Africans from French rules, from a mindset point of view and in every way

Why didn't the Burkinabe protest the first time he was USD by France to brutellay murder President Sankara, then pretend like he doesn't know Sankara family or even help them financially and still he can't seem to get theessage that his people or sankara's people don't want him
@tanyawade51975 жыл бұрын
I agree. There was “reportedly” tears all over Afrique when Sankara was murdered (brutally, unforgivably, he did not deserve that! 😡) So, why wasn’t there a public outcry & rebellion among the Burkinabé when that happened? Riddled him with bullets?! Buried at night, in secret?! Preposterous! He may not have been perfect, but he was young, still, & he didn’t deserve to be forgotten by the ppl he was working for. Sorry for the rant 🤗. I get carried away, lol. 🌈
