They did an excellent job with choosing Bruno's Japanese VA. The English/Spanish VA John Leguizamo went for a kind of kooky and gentle vibe which fits Bruno's character perfectly. The Japanese VA doesn't really sound kooky but he definitely nailed the soft cinnamon roll personality. No matter the circumstances he just sounds so gentle, it's adorable.

As for the absence of "sana, sana, colita de rana," that wouldn't be difficult to say with Japanese phonology, (it'd just sound like "sana sana korīta de rana"), but Japanese audiences would simply have no idea what it means, since contact with Spanish-language phrases is very infrequent. I kind of wish they'd made him say it anyway, but I guess they just wanted to localize it.
