For those who really struggle with getting arcane monk set Alternatively you can go for upgraded sorcerer set while focusing on leveling your range/summoning and magic skill tree as it does the same/better overall damage

Sorc set is underrated imo, especially with perk that boosts magic dmg based on remaining mana. I only need to focus more on dodging, then pop some big hits.

as a magic user, I'd suggest to use zealot scimitar for melee, and arcane staff for range. with sorcerer set, polished gold crystal necklace, and 2 polished glow tulip. fairly easy to get those item in mid-late game. I tried this build myself and it deal 50k+ crit (with triple trouble) as a melee, and 13k crit (without triple trouble, arcane staff aspd just too fast) as a range. great video anyway, the explanation is easy to understand especially for newbies. keep it up!

I think the mana regen starts when you didn't use mana for a duration of time. So to never run out of mana i diceded not to spent my focus on mana regen but on crit chance, crit damage and magic damage, as well as ranged attack speed. It might give you a higher damage output. Have you taken this into consideration?

yup. and I have a different build coming out that focuses on crit instead. This build focuses on mana regen.

the chaos staff does random attacks, several of which can damage the player when they explode. Its inconsistent and unpredictable. The arcane staff does TONS of damage and is super fast. Combined with high crit it gives you unlimited mana from the crit/mana regen.

i used the dog in my mage run, stun helped keep me safe while i cast things, you can also use an owlux to buff your crit chance to get mana back more often

@@savvamon meh i think going Owl (i know its a boring pet) with increased damage and movement speed with 4-5 to talents with crit chance just feels overall better for this build.

The minion build with an arcane staff offers significantly higher DPS compared to this build. This is due to the powerful interaction between the magic barrier and magic damage, especially when using the skill that grants 75 barrier points per minion. With 8 minions, you gain: 300 additional magic damage per hit from the barrier +80% increase in magic damage +80% range (and magic) attack speed just from the summoning skill tree alone - its crazy. This combination far surpasses the magic DPS of normal mage, more than doubling it. As an added benefit, you also have 8 summons at your disposal. Its also the best minion build.

Yes, this is an insane build. Azeos in 1 second, Omoroth in 2.5 seconds with level 15 gear and 7 minions

@@DakonsMadhouse It will be interesting to see your take on the build. Tbh though I don't really play it as a minion build because when your staff one shots everything even bosses and the fact minions damage even with full minion gear just sucks. So I just summon bats and play magic.

because since “range damage” isn’t exactly meant just as ranger class weapons but magic range weapons are also influenced by it

Mage starts being pretty good as soon as you get the Arcane Staff and Arcane Battery

Wdym? I just beat Core Commander with Sorc set. If anything, mage class needs more items, like spell tomes and proper mage oriented pet. Pet Tardy is dumdum imo and it's melee.
