If anything it helps them refresh the squad, the owners have basically said it’s difficult for them to compete financially with the likes of City so they’re giving it to someone who can inject more cash

My big worry is about what will happen to Klopp. One thing I have liked about FSG is that they have trusted Klopp even when times were tough. Take Chelsea for example. When Roman was still in charge he was sacking managers for even just little dips in performances. FSG have stuck with Klopp which is something i dont know if the new owners will do

@@viksinha5410 I wouldn't say we know about Boehly and sackings, for example we didn't really know how Roman was until maybe 2011 with ancelotti and then after that he went through them like crazy I don't think Boehly wanted Tuchel from the start, and Roman would've sacked him way before that

Hit the nail on the head tbh, FSG made Liverpool into a well run club whilst also renovating the stadium and building a new training centre. The only thing FSG are missing is the wealth of city. Tbf as a liverpool fan I love the moral high ground over city with their owners but looks like that will be no more with the sort of money FSG are asking for

Liverpool are also self sufficient so if they wanted to get Bellingham they could still get him regardless out of the money club has made. FSG hasn’t invested or put money in for years now, the club runs itself these days

As a Liverpool fan, the big concern at the moment is not who buys the club but where the money comes from? Also, one of my biggest worries, if we turn into a state-owned club, is that Klopp will leave due to what he has said in the past about state-owned clubs. Jude is a good starting point for a midfielder. I am also Fsg out they tried to sell the club's soul.

FSG is a hedge fund. They think they've reached peak valuation and are selling immediately. Yet again, when the squad is desperate for serious investment, FSG find a way to bail out. Don't forget, Liverpool had to sell 3 forwards just to get Nunez. 1 player to replace 3 doesn't work, and is a reason why injuries have been such a problem.

I think liverpool are the perfect club to buy. A top team with a huge fan base, renovated stadium, brand new state of the art training facility and a pretty talented squad. A new owner could genuinely bring liverpool back to the top in one summer with enough investment

We have a solid squad. The reason we’re struggling atm is 1: injuries 2: lack of investment over time 3: age of players - we need a squad refresh. If FSG put a little more ambition in the market we’d stay competing. They even said themselves they’re struggling to compete financially with others and have taken Liverpool as far as they can. They said “we’d sell to someone who has the best interest at heart for the club to success further” that being said, we need owners to bring a breath of fresh air to the squad. If the financial situation was a level playing field we’d do better than city (been successful with limited resources) but that’s not going to work long term

We literally had this convo two seasons ago when we had all those injuries, no van dijk and we were lying in 8th place. Everyone was questioning us then, ruling us out and look what happened. Whatever happens with this takeover, Dubai Prince or not, is nothing but a boost if they intend to spend some serious money

I love Gini but u cant say that our problem was Gini leaving... We were contending for 4 competitions last season and none of that midfield has left. I believe the issue is the early start to the season because when you have been playing for that long and get so close to greatness it has to have an effect. Also we lost a lot of depth and even players like Minimino are being missed

As a Liverpool fan I think fsg out is a very positive thing, I'd love Bellingham to sign, I want fsg to leave sooner rather than later tho as I think a season or 2 with klopp and new owners could do the world of good for us if klopp feels he needs to move on after that fair enough I don't think anybody begruges him that he's done so well for us but I feel like if we have a new influx of money that hes actually allowed to spend he is the perfect man to get our team back to where it should be

Comparing the Chelsea sale to the Liverpool sale is just not accurate. Chelsea’s sale was accelerated massively by a deadline. There were hundreds of interested parties all looking to pay big immediately. That won’t happen here. The Liverpool sale will likely take at least a year given FSG aren’t actively attempting to push the club off and are just opening the possibility and willing to sell. I believe they’ll sell, but I imagine it’ll take at least a year or 2

They are though, they are trying to raise funds for a purchase for an nfl franchise in the states. The only bidding war they are interested in is the one for that franchise and any deal for liverpool that brings them close to an amount they need, I'd imagine they would take.

I think a lot of people/fans are just being ignorant, looking at what is obviously wrong and thinking it’s an easy fix. It’s a World Cup year and to top that off for the first time it’s actually in the middle of a season so what do you think cup squad players are going to care about more - making sure they don’t get injured - even Haaland has been having time off. This is a dud season in my opinion, like when the lakers won the Covid championship, no one says it’s genuine. I think the same for the prem this year.

If someone comes in and waves £4-£5 Billion in front of FSG they'll sell straight away, they won't even think twice about it and if the rumours coming out of the Arabian Business site are to be believed that the Dubai Consortium who tried to buy LFC before are going to try again then that's going to leave Liverpool in an odd position if that happens, do LFC want to try and look for a buyer who will respect the Liverpool legacy and do business like FSG does now, win the odd trophy here and there and maybe grab the Prem every 5+ years OR do they grab the Oil money, bin the wage structure, buy handfuls of world class players, ignore the "You've bought the League!" chants and maybe win back to back Prem titles??

I personally don't think you were as effective at the brand of football Klopp wants to play though. Both league cup wins were on penalties. Still worthy of acclaim, we just all know what you are up against with Man City if you want to win the PL again and recapture the scintillating form that saw you win the title previously.
