Just curious about Whinery fire. People at aoaa say owner was bad seed and it was arson. Any truth to that?

Life estate was given to the remaining residents once they pass the state takes over the land and everything goes and it will never be redeveloped

It's not the house, but the land it sits on that's unstable. So everything gets demolished and will never be rebuilt. Even if the fire's no longer an issue at some point in the future, the land there is basically in prime sinkhole condition now and it's too dangerous to support buildings.
