Game is going to be absolutely amazing, I'm super hyped. The implementation of a photo mode tells you hor beautiful the game is going to be. Looks aside, the Dino's are learning, wildcard have improved on the Dino follow. No more stood on a two ft rock while 6 raptors struggle to bite you lol.

The issue is that they are removing the official servers well over a year before the 1.5 game drops and they are excluding PS which is the biggest part of the community as another F U. We haven't even seen the game yet but by their description they care about the pvp community even less (somehow). They are making third person Dark Souls typa game thats gonna be locked in heavly on primitive gear and they are adding skins and shit. Like nothing that we actually wanted

They've promised to fix cheating and issues so many times. now they delay their "free" game and make us re-buy ALL the dlcs we have already purchased. They don't release any information on ark 2 during the charity stream. official servers needed the wipe and if they follow through with keeping better protection on cheaters then that's awesome. but remember game devs from snail games were the ones cheating. popular "influencers" have had pocket devs forever. Even when servers wipe megas will be back to where they were very quickly. (think of how long it took everyone to max desmo and charcars) I had hopes for ark 2 since it was supposed to be different, and as someone who played all the souls games and conan exiles, I was excited. but this is just bad news in general. they've supposedly been working on this game for years, and it's not anything new for wildcard to make delays. BUT TWO YEARS. wild, I don't play PlayStation but those who do are just being left behind.

I had no plans of blindly purchasing Ark 2 either so the incentive doesn't really help me. 90 percent of my casual Ark group feel the same. Played ark over 15k hours and for main game and dlc maps cost me £45 I got my moneys worth so will happily pay for game again although the dlc map price is to steep by far considering the game will have an 18month life if they want us all to play ark2. Ark2 however looks shit atm with the combat system being talked about so I'm guessing most pvp players will stick to ark 1.5 However if they don't sort dev support out then pvp ark will fail on all versions. Can't wait for Aug fresh start.

This seems like their way of keeping player who wont like ark 2 still playing Ark 1.5. Through out the new community crunch they keep saying "incase players don't like the new changes ark 2 brings" implying that ark 2 will 100% be a different game from the first. But with all the new feature and fixes that the are supposedly adding this will make ark 1.5 pretty much a new experience, especially if Unreal Engine 5 delivers on all their way better performance claims. Still sucks we have to pay for dlc tho.
