Don't know what to add to previous compliments but the opening sequence is just magic.... captures a moment of 'enhanced' childhood memories.... that's to say I was alive to enjoy the last 20 years of BR steam but the locos and carriages were war worn and unloved, leaking steam and rusty - but I like to think it was just like your footage. Thanks so much for such excellent footage!

That opening shot was a pure fluke. It was supposed to be the class 50 roaring through. I was unaware at the time that it had failed. Ended up being my favourite shot of the Gala weekend. Many thanks.

Lovely selection of locos, love the little Bagnall loco, last time we went on Bodmin snd Wenford was when Tornado visited and fortunate enough to cab it. Lovely little heritage railway but shame it's not longer.

Thanks for the comment. A counter to the short line length is it hasn't got massive fixed operating costs, and they also run fairly small locomotives, which have to put the work in to get up the gradients. Furthermore, gala days like this are very intensive. I personally think it lacks in filming opportunities and could do with a few more spots. Other than that it is a super little railway.
