Cymen Expectations? The promised map was scrapped because it was "too confusing for new players", the long awaited new weapon was just a melee re-skin and ducks. I'm not mad at McVee, I'm kind of pissed at Valve. Heck! The recent update added Grappling hooks! Is THAT not "too confusing for new players"

Morgan Freeman I don't see how a map in beta-testing is a promise. It is beta, there is always the risk of being scrapped. Same with the current beta-mode but I guess that is why they explain the meaning of beta in the blog. For people who are confused about that. The guys who worked on the update made a statement months ago that there would not be unique weapons and the update was all about the short. The Grappling Hooks are amazing and there is nothing confusing about it. Everyone knows what it does. The mode on the other hand was unclear.

***** You mean Snowplough, which is based on the end of the line SFM, but isn't the same map. And how do you know that ducks were a last minute thought? For all you know, it could have been something that was always going to be in the update. And Snowplough can be complex for new players, it look like payload but is control point with a confusing replacement for the timer.

- NEW END OF LINE UPDATE - Featuring 1 new Reskin weapon that is exactly the same as the Pan, Ham, Objector, Hammer, etc that will get no attention. A whole lot of new cosmetics. A new taunt for Pyro (while Heavy still has none) And a new map that was anticipated but cancelled due to being "too complicated." Oh, and ducks, which you have to pay for, in order to enjoy. What, the HELL, is this update even? Is this just Valve's Conga Line of not giving a shit about TF2 anymore? The movie End of Line was great, and all the promises felt solid... than we got this.

Unless I'm mistaken, Robotic Boogaloo was advertised as being a community cosmetic update. End of the Line was advertised as being so much more. Correct me if wrong.

Bold and Brash Indeed. The Robotic Boogaloo update really is "100% community created" although End of the Line does not appear much different. According to wiki, the promotional video was in fact made by the community. PROBABLY every single cosmetic item (or at least majority of those) come from the Workshop (checked random 5 items, every single is labeled as community-created). Even the shitty all-class reskin is community created too. Alright. Time for the worst news. Again, according to the wiki, a new map was made for this update (can't tell if community did it or Valve) but ultimately it was not included in the update. New weapons were about to be added too but all we get is that Crossing Guard melee reskin. One of the weapons were added in Love & War update "and the others were scrapped for not making the quality cut." In conclusion, it again was pretty much a community update. At least it did not feature ugly cosmetics. That's why I refered to Electric Boogaloo since the game got fatter with MBs and most, if not all of these robotic hats and cosmetics are just horrible. End of the Line, since featuring winter cosmetics is a strange update overall. Why not include these cosmetics in the Smissmas update?!
