‘The Postcard’ sounds awesome! Also, speaking of WW2, Kate Winslet and Andy Samberg are going to star in a movie based on Lee Miller, a female photojournalist who was a model capturing WW2.

I also really enjoyed Bandit Queens and cannot believe it wasn't shortlisted for the women's prize. I love women supporting women at the heart of the story. Even if parts of it is nonsensical it works really well!

As a reader I enjoyed the Yellowface experience - although it was 4* instead of 5 as it lost its way towards the end. As a piece of critique, it could have been more nuanced in it's discussion and done so much more. It was my first RF Kuang book and I treated it as satire and I would read it again, but I'm also aware that it has mixed reviews and Cindy from withcindy has a great video critiquing Yellowface

I just wanted to let you know that I enjoy watching your videos on your channel. They are beneficial and informative. However, I noticed that you haven't been updating your videos as frequently as before, and your video SEO score seems to be low. If you're interested, I would happily offer some tips and suggestions to help improve your video SEO score. Let me know if you're available to chat about this at a convenient time.

Partition literature is definitely skewed towards a very specific point of view. Also, the hypocrisy one sees of showing empathy towards Partition and its impact in North India/Hindi Belt but being xenophobic towards the Bengali (especially minorities) survivors of Partition.
@zara6472
@zara6472 11 ай бұрын
Are there any good books with a more objective POV that doesn't hate on minorities that you would recommend? Or even a well written book that shows the cultural stereotypes and racism that exist for a western reader to understand what the community feelings are, accepting no community and no history is perfect?

@@zara6472I read this book by Zubaan publishers last year or so called Inherited Memories which was nice but not amazing. Niyogi has a book which is an anthology of short stories called The Bleeding Border I think. And then there's Shadow Lines by Amitav Ghosh.
