You two are great. Thanks for doing these streams and the regular videos, and keeping us all included and involved, and have a great couple of holiday weeks

If you guys want a challenge harder than Breck Epic to add to your bucket list, I suggest the Tran North Georgia Adventure (TNGA). It is very similar to the Colorado Trail Race, though a bit less rocky / rugged terrain and more XC than hardcore Trail. There is too much hike-a-bike with the CTR. TNGA is better for XC racers. I think both of you have a shot at winning even though this event is slightly outside your wheelhouse because it is a bit longer than Breck. However, setting the M/F course record might be beyond your reach. If you went for the record, I guarantee this will be the toughest race you ever did in your life. The Signal Peak is an ideal bike for the course. Elevation gain is estimated to be between over 56,000 to 64,000 feet, as measured by many prior competitors. Your very high technical skill is more than enough for this race, and your prior experience with stage racing as well as 12 / 24 hour events will get you by. The first day is primarily jeep roads, some very rough with crazy elevation gain, but as you get about a third the way in, it starts to get quite technical and remains so (at certain portions) for the rest of the race. You might be tempted to dismiss it because it is known as a bikepacking race, but make no mistake, the leaders are doing very little of that. You grab a few hours of rest, at most, and then keep on going. Hallucinations are par for the course.

re fun: I feel like it's IYDKYDK "fun" is subjective and you wouldn't be doing this if you didn;t like it. is it "fun" to do hard things? absoultely. but it's fun in a beautiful way that some people don't get.

It looks like Ari just got rid of their only carbon hardtail (Solitude) from their line-up. That is a shame. I was going to buy that this year for my bikepack racing bike. I had a suspicion for months they might do that because it remained the only mountain bike that still had the fezzari branding on it. They eventually swapped the photos for all the other bikes out to Ari branding. Its kind of unfortunate that modern cross country racing has become trail racing and not really XC racing, because now so many people feel obligated to buy full suspension bikes. The lightweight hardtail is slowly being phased out of the market for full suspension bikes that are 5 pounds heavier. Oh well, looks like they have forced me to now look at Mondraker which is a shame, because I like Ari (their Shafer is probably the most well thought out gravel bike on the market).
