End of Year Reflection // Next Year’s Intention

I am in a bad wave again. It was better for 4 days and now i am back. I really don't believe i will ever heal. I have delusions, body tremors, etc... i wish I could die in sleep. Nothing good will ever be even if i heal.

Hey angie, i was taking this year for 2 months benzos and when come off i got horrible wd symptoms after the doks didnt understand whats going on so they put me on 7 meds in 4 months time i had enough of it but i am such in a worse state everything moves inside me my nervous system is moving, when touching something my nervous system moves its so bizar... dpdr and swollen, sqeeuzing brain. I am now 4 months off do you think this can be normal agajn?

Yes of course you can feel better than you do now but it can take some time. Give yourself 6-18 months. You are very early in the process right now.

I am 4 months off xanax. As I moved recently to my children's house, I feel distraction while cooking, talking, interacting with them make my symptoms very less, but when I go to my room, or sleep in night, the weird thoughts comes like, I am not normal, my mind is working properly only because of distraction in presence of my children or some other persons. These repeated thoughts makes me almost out of my mind, unable to sleep, so disturbed and confused. I am absolutely losing my confidence. Please help

I was 5 and half years off. And doinf the best I could... i finally was able to drive and venture out again and drive four hours by myself! Angie, i took pepcid for 28 days. It absolutley destroyed me. I was thrown back into WORSE than acute. Its been 10 months and im stikl in HELL. Why the hell would pepcid do this to me??? Im now agoraphobic and have akathesia. I spend my days pacing the house. Im allergic to all medications and now many foods. I can only eat rice and beef. I was drinking caffiene and now im allergic to that aswell. I am now 6 years and 1 month off all benzos. Did you ever have a setback ???. Its HORROR.... God why????

No I didn’t have a setback ever because I refused to take meds for anything ever. I took Zyrtec for 21 days at 5 1/2 years off and I was fine with it. Pepcid screws with gut microbione and gut wall BAD so that could be why you had a setback from it.

Same here.. I am approaching 7 years off Benzo in April 2024. I also don’t think I had a set back because, like Angie, I refused to take any medications including over the counter drugs the minute I stopped Ativan and a couple of anti depressants. I also didn’t take any supplements of any kind.

Know one every explain that when you taper you go through withdrawls.

Some do some don’t. The point of a taper is to try to reduce some of the intensity of a fast withdrawal and prevent protracted withdrawal, if possible. But it’s not always a guarantee.
