After John Thaw had died in 2002 I did not expect there would be a new serie like it. And when and they came with Endeavour I was really sceptic about it but they proved me wrong. I think it was as good as Morse which I loved to watch repeatedly.

My Dad and I watched Morse all the time. He loves crosswords, logic puzzles and definitely a good drink. I’m loosing a bit every day to leukemia and Alzheimer’s. Watching the whole Morse/Endeavor/Lewis series brings me back to happier days. Thank you❤

I think Sean Evans was 100% the right choice for Endeavour, as was John Thaw for Morse. These series have kept me gripped for years. The theme music is fabulous..But oh, that last scene....❤❤❤❤❤❤

~28 years actually. John Thaw sadly passed away at age 60. Shaun Evans is now 41. He was 31 when ‘Endeavour’ began filming.

I’d say 20. Morse began in 1987. The car tax disc expired December 1965. 22 years but Morse would be the older Morse by 1985.

No disrespect to the late John Thaw, but if the final episode of Endeavour takes place in 1972 and the first episode of Inspector Morse takes place in 1987, he aged very quickly in 15 years. So too did Strange for that matter. Nevertheless I love both series

Yes. His mother was a Quaker and they like to give their children "virtue names" which are a trait they want their child to have.
