I had just received the Ender3v2 as my first 3D printer for my birthday and was so frustrated that it wouldn't print anything. All of my attempts at trying to print the demo cat would inexplicably turn into spaghetti. None of the beginner guides or instruction manuals mention calibrating the E-Steps before starting the first print so I was completely lost. Thank you so much for this video, I'm finally able to print! So excited I was able to get past this setback and finally begin learning to use this incredible technology.

Thank you, really short, nice and time-saving tutorial. But regarding precision in measurements - better to extract one but long line. It will increase precision. Because cut filament + measurement error - give you some wrong +/- 1mm. And there is a difference 1mm error for 100mm or 1mm error for 300 or 1000mm. So if you got one 300mm line (I do 1000mm) - it will provide you more accurate measurement value. For question how to correct measure long filament line - I use separate white teflon tube (didn't find a transparent one) - it's good enough to see length of a filament in it. Thanks for tutorial again - it really save my time

The problem using this method is, once you put your roll of filament into a drybox or spool holder that has a little bit of friction your e-steps don't match anymore and start to under extrude. Mine went from 100mm to 96mm when I was printing out of the drybox.
