A friend of mine reached out to the BoB admins just now and their incredible solution was to whitelist me on 100+ ping EU servers. The NA servers are “level limited”….. because level = skill right? What a STUPID rule. Imagine playing and ranking up on that server only to be banned once you reach a certain level. Battlefield admins are a total joke. They gatekeep the game. Pathetic.

This sort of thing is why I'm glad I usually play shooters on consoles: no need to deal with most cheaters, since either they aren't crossplay at all or you can turn it off, they generally have higher player counts than PC, and it's just a lot less douchy and a lot more chill there. I play on Brazilian servers, usually there's around 2 DICE server and 2 BoB (yes even here) on weekdays afternoon's, and on weekends theres around 10 full servers

Enders I feel you with the lack of servers. In the OCE side (where i play), there are even less servers, and the 3 that there are available are Hardcore servers with vehicles. Better to burn the bridge of BFV considering its age, the server choice, hackers and the lack of servers.

I played BFV yesterday on the PS5. It was wonderful. No crossplay!!!! I wish i wouldn't have to deal with a PC clusterfuck world on BF2042. PC players are just too good. (They have a powerful M&K input and they are just simply too good). They DO ruin the game for me on BF2042. So...yeah if you are too good, it does ruin the game for others. Sorry reality. I also play PC NA. Picked up BFV because it was on a steam sale for like 8 bucks, and I don't love 2042. It's a great game, for the most part, but there are 4 servers that are populated like you pointed out. I don't mind strategic conquest, because I do enjoy piloting in BF games and the nightbird can get a little boring once you're proficient with it, but I'd really like to see a breakthrough or tdm server once in a while. I hope the next battlefield game is a good one, because Dice is going the way so many other developers have gone this decade and I'm running out of fun shit to play.

The same thing happened to me back in the Battlefield four days I probably had about 12,000 hours in the game and I will get banned all the time just cause they thought I was cheating and I’ve never cheated once I just had good aim. when you play that many hours into a game, you just become very good at it. it got to the point where the game was almost unplayable because they were banning me from so many servers. battlefield server admin are all a joke

For the longest time, the only OCE server on BFV PC was a cringe hardcore conquest server... yikes. I'm not much of a PC player anyway but any time I jumped on BFV PC I played Japan Breakthrough, which are all ran by that BFVRobot or whatever it is, most of which have kill and player level caps so people are constantly getting kicked and temp banned for no fault of their own, I got banned from a few servers myself, actually insane to me. They even banned bolt action rifles on half their servers too, level, kill and weapon restrictions on a dying/dead game is beyond insane.

Tired playing it again as well. The shooting, airplane balance and lack of US/ CAN servers made me never want to touch it again. I’m the type of player who likes to play with ADS FOV off to help me see the enemy but the random recoil, even on small calibre weapons, makes weapons go everywhere and impossible to control so I feel forced to play with ADS FOV on to hit something. Also the airplanes are just blatant OP with all their skills unlocked making it almost impossible to counter them, also very dumb of DICE to allow enemy airplanes to resupply at your base to do a infinite loop around the map.

I am playing in the EU region. Last time I regularly played was before the MW3 release. There were enough servers unless you play at like 8am in the morning but on every server was at least one cheater. It was really bad. This was the reason I joined a community server (BoB and some other) for the first time. I got banned on BoB for the same reason as you. Last week I played two matches and nobody was cheating on this server. If the anti-cheat really works there are more than enough servers to play on in EU region

in OCE BF4 servers are fine but bf1 and bf5 if you're good you will get banned and then have to go to fourms and provide ingame footage of a match, if they arent happy with that they will ask you to film an over the shoulder/hand cam to make sure you're not cheating

I am one of those casual players. I wasn't playing BFV because of the crazy number of cheaters (I'm in the Asian region) But, now I am really enjoying the game. I would have loved to see these maps make it into Portal in 2042 but I guess that's never going to happen. Let's hope they bring the new anti-cheat to BF1 so I can get back into that game. 2042 isn't that much fun anymore.

Enders, it's the same on EU. I never even tried custom servers but 3 months ago I hopped on BFV to see if the cheating was still there and what do you know - I'm banned from every community server without touching them. This is why I don't want to see RSP again. I'm not banned from anything in BF4 because I know the admins, but why should I have to know the admins so I can play the game normally? That's absurd. So if you don't know anyone, you're screwed. Very fun. Too bad because I did like playing BFV from time to time. BF1 is also fun but there's a guy on the EU servers called SANDKING, guy logs at night and crashes every single Breakthrough server as a spectator. Types SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND..... and then the server dies. DICE are just a joke.

I had the same experience in BF4 with a player owned server. But they banned me from the server because I was using AA missiles cause the owners where using Air vehicles and nobody could use AA missiles. So before I got banned I decided to use the RPG and since I killed them with the RPG they banned me. Shitty players always make the excuse that the other player is hacking without any proof.

As a player spending most time on BF1, I found BF5 incredibly annoying because in Asia servers, there are always Iwo Jima and I hate this map. BOB bans for over 2 kpm career stats. Almost no one in the game has over a 2 kpm. It's not ideal but prior to the anticheat there would be a cheater in every dice server and this was their solution.

Enders I sometimes wonder why you like BF so much. Your a fast pace sweaty mostly infantry player. Your more kill oriented than objective driven. You don’t care much about graphics and Immersion. You like games like gundam evolution. I’m curious. What is it about BF that you don’t find in other fps games like COD for exemple? (6v6). Especialy if you don’t like dying to tanks and choppers.

As you talked about consistency of anti cheat, yeah im gonna agree with you, cheaters will finally find a way around it and EA wont do anything, but from first days i played bf5 i can tell difference is quite big, before anti cheat i wasnt able to play any match on DICE server without getting a cheater, now i played about 20 matches on different dice servers and no cheater so far thats way better than getting cheater in every single game like before

EA killed the game in 2020, when it was picking up and they decided to stop supporting it and giving it content. Let them assume the consequences of their decisions, they killed the game from its disastrous launch to its final abandonment. It's sad because it's a good game.
