For my cooler, because I have a long box Colorado, I went with putting my cooler, ecoflow power bank, coffee maker, and food in my back seat with some custom shelves to make it all fit. That was the trade off to give me some more room in the camper since there is 2 of us. It works

Hey Dave nice score on the walnut. I totally agree with the fact it will give your interior a fabulous,rich look. If you can put it everywhere on the inside it will be there forever. I haven’t completely committed to anything on my build except white oak and, I’m considering using black walnut to highlight all of the cabinetry and doors and, finish it with low low sheen oil base poly. I’m anxious to see your finished interior so, quit screwing around Dave and, get to work. lol. I think you’ve done a great job on this build Dave but, I think you are going to have to think really hard to come up with a better 2.10 build. lol Ted from Arkansas

I just subscribed to your channel and currently watching all of your videos. I like what you’re doing. I’m an off grid camper. I’m getting up in years and trying to build something that you have been building is not in the cards. I’m very mechanically inclined and have built several projects in the past, but when it comes to wood or stuff like what you’re doing I’m all thumbs if it was all metal not an issue. I just sold my off grid off-road pop-up camper as it was getting harder and harder for me to set up and take down plus I like to try different campsites every day and setting up a tent trailer camper was not convenient for me. I have been looking for some type of slide in for my 2011 Toyota tundra with an 8 foot bed but the expense for a new one or even a used one is not in the budget. For now I’ll just enjoy watching what you do and maybe something will come my way in regards to having a slide in for my truck or even some type of camper van, that’s four-wheel-drive, but those are pretty expensive as well.

Dave, couldn’t you stand on the ground behind the camper, close the bottom door, close the tailgate, go over that, then close the upper door and latch it? I think yiu got a very versatile door, for all occasions, thanks

Finally able to get back to viewing this. One of the things I do on my bunks is have a lip (of the side wood edge) setting up an inch or so above main bed platform. I do that so the cushions etc. won't move off either sleeping or driving. I assume a 2" for thicker mattrices (example). When tucking in bedding it lifts the cushions up a little too... un-pausing to watch. I hope mr.t wins tonight. Did you film or have in a video the details of putting in the port hole? I have one for my 90 G20 Chinook and hope to have it look nice as well as be functional. I also want to find a way of having a screen and a cover for night camps.
