Endless Engines Breakdown | Render challenge - Need For Speed Most Wanted

My final submission for the Endless Engines render challenge created by @pwnisher .This was my first render challenge that I participated in, and I enjoyed every single moment I worked on this render. The 5 second animation is based on my favourite video game ever, Need For Speed Most Wanted. I wanted to capture the ultimate thrill that the high speed chases provided for the player, including massive highways, police cars tailing you, Cross’s Corvette and the infamous M3 GTR. The modeling, animation, , texturing, compositing and post production took roughly 30-40 hours.
It would be an absolute pleasure to be feautured in the TOP 100 compilation video!
It’s up to the judges now.

The final render took about an hour to finish. 150 samples/ frame or 30 seconds. I use a Msi Katana laptop with rtx 3060, it’s a great laptop, capable of a lot of things!

Cars are moving along a path. Suspension, dift, and overall physics movement is keyframed

No, the Corvette and the BMW is from Sketchfab from a very talented artist called memoov. He has almost all the main nfsmw boss cars uploaded for free. The other vehicles and the cop cars are also from multiple sources, and some of my past works.

Actually, it might seem out of place, but I based it on the heli from the game. Can’t remember the actual name of it, but the game version is based on a real life one, which is the one I used here

Very good. One question: Regarding your "layer" breakdown, did you really use different layers and rendered all separately or are those just different collections and you rendered everything together?

lets say that in order to make the best composition changes and coloring for the scene rendering in 3 different passes is always good, i dont think he rendered those in different passes but as you said he just did different collections but rendered everything together
