I've had to failed marriages also that I'm not proud both my HUSBANDS were very abusive I knew if I didn't get out I might not be alive today. After the mother of my children left me I was sick for months. I used to listen to songs about heartbrake morning and night and cry myself into nothingness. I would close my eyes and leak into any shirt towel sheet pillow or blanket that was within reach. The songs I had in rotation began to get old and I would search for a new melody to soothe my pain. Eventually I landed on this one. It was the first song in my journey through the abyss that was actually happy and about being in love rather than about love lost. At first it broke me to hear the sweet lyrics of two people so happy in love, but eventually it dawned on me that I was blessed to have ever been in love in the first place. I sometimes come back here to listen and daydream about what I used to have, to ponder if I'll ever have it again, and to thank God for having allowed me to live my story regardless. Peace to you.

Man, old music is so underrated. As a kid, I can say with confidence that my decision to start listening to the local station that played 60s, 70s and 80s music was incredibly life-changing. My sister was soo in love with this song and Lionel Ritchie growing up. When she had her daughter (Ariela) she would sing this to her as a lullaby. Ariela died from cancer when she was 10. My sister played this song at her funeral. My sister left this world shortly after. I never saw a love so deep and unending as that.

My grandmother, had a little music box with a rose on it. Over the years it’s broken and deteriorated… But it’s still pays the music so beautifully. She passed away in 2007 from breast cancer and I am so so much. What always made me curious was what song did the music box play, I will always replay it and replay it and it’s never clicked. Until today I got on the Google app took a picture of the music trinket searched it by what the music box was called and finally found out what the song was.
