The finish on the top of the guitar was actually sanded off by him on purpose so that he can make brushing percussive sounds on it when plugged in. It is a well loved guitar too though.

But he likes new guitars too, he changes a guitar every two years or sth. This is the first time in a while to see him use this guitar, and I guess he used it because the song is “Endless Road”. He’d come down the road with this old, retired guitar in 90s to 00s!

I hope you see this as I posted it a few times... You make me remember why I love music. Thanks for sharing you love of music with us all.....I wish I could see you live in concert. I have a illness that is determined to stop me, I hear you play and it helps me force my self to pick up my good old Martin and work through the pain. By doing so i am in better physical shape with my dexterity then I ever should be. You have given me a reason to fight and play. I can never thank you enough. My 2 friends and I saw Tommy in Ottawa, Canada in September 2022 and all 700 fans of his were majestically amazed at the incredibly mid-boggling humble and humourous gentleman as he took us to the stars with his beauty and talent and humour. What an absolute masterpiece! So many emotions in this incredible piece. I will always remember the version he played for a friend and myself at his guitar camp in Melbourne last year. My friend asked him a question or two about the song and he broke down each part for us...then played the whole thing for us! What a legend!

this man could knock on any door in australia and get a place at the table. seriously, this is what australian royalty looks like. the term "national treasure" doesn't cut it, he is a king. oh, condolences for your brother, sir. phil played my home town once and it was AWESOME. to date, one of the best shows i've seen and it was just a small town nightclub gig. never caught you live tho, even tho you played in town a couple times. regrets, i've got a few.

The picture I see is the long road of life. From the novelty of embarking on the journey, to the high spirits of a successful career, to the setbacks and confusions encountered in the middle, life seems to be gloomy.
