I have been retired and full time RVing for two years. It has been the best life! I will never work again (except for helping my kids with home renovations, yard work, and maintenance in the summer months in Seattle). The rest of the year I travel. Through my travels I have been able to reconnect with my cousins and old friends along the way. So much fun!

I retired from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 2010. We then left on a 13000km Harley trip around the US visiting with brother Blue Knights. Don’t regret retiring at all. Now we enjoy riding our Harleys and traveling in our motorhome whenever we want.

Great video. I think I have said this before, but want to reiterate. I retired in Dec 2023, 10 years military LE and 28 years local law enforment in Massachusetts. We, my wife and I, love love love, retirement. We are always busy with volunteering for Veteran, first responder and other fundraisers. We love to travel both in the Motorhome and via airplane. I don’t miss the job, I miss the people. Co-workers that became friends and people in the community. I still interact with them but not to extent I did on the job. You will love it, and MJ will not have to worry so much.

I retired in 2020 from the aerospace industry. Have worked our way up to around 8 months a year in the RV. Need to realize retirement is not a full time vacation. Just enjoy the little things and each other. I have had Starlink for years and currently have the roaming mounted on top of the RV.

I've had Starlink residential since beta. I also have another RV Roam on my RV. Those flagpole mounts work great to get a clear view of the sky.

So glad Jason is doing so well! I get that about the clean room at college compared to home. Jake keeps his apartment spotless and his room a mess here lol. They don't do check-ins or anything but he takes pride in it because he's paying his own way through college. And decorated it. Last year he had a 2 bedroom apartment. His roomate left after the first few weeks. This year he got a studio apartment and loves it. He started as a junior last year after taking 2 yrs off after community college. The dorms were full so they put kids in graduate housing apartments. So luckily he was able to go back there this year

Congratulations on the retirement countdown. I am just semi-retired the end of June. I am going to become a certified RV technician as my semi-retirement job. Going to the NRVTA the end of October of 5 weeks of training and to take the exam. Really looking forward to it.

Retired two years. It is outstanding! Just returned from a Renegade Rally in Angel Fire, NM. Beautiful country and beautiful event. By the way, I finally bought some Release. It worked great on this trip! The bugs were many and grasshoppers are the size of ponies. I ordered a test 32 oz bottle. As soon as I got home I order the larger bottle of concentrate. I retired from truck driving and I sure do miss working it wasn’t even like working for me it was more a life style but now my wife is a travel nurse so I’m her chauffeur in the last four years we have circled the united states three times pulling a fifth wheel and living in it full time.

When I was looking for a motorhome around 2000, I came across a rep that took me for a tour through all the different brands that were on the lot educating me or the differences and what to look for behind the nice looking fronts of the coaches. I settle on a Newmar Dutch Star coach and was ready to order. It was established that I was sick from heavy metal (mercury) poisoning so couldn't go forward. Hope to live that dream yet...

Some feedback based on your request. 1) Disappointed that Starlink is going up again...$165 is expensive for the speeds (I get about 75 to 250 Bps) on the road. At home I pay $40 for 500 up and down... 2) NIRVC Music City is WELL worth it. The show this year was AMAZING and we loved that ALL mfgs were in the same location. 3) RETIREMENT: I retired early at age 61 and, like so many others, I miss the people (but I still keep in touch with them), but I NEVER regretted retiring! Our lives are so much better now that we're doing what we want. You will be amazed at how busy you're going to be when you retire! Very excited for you both!

Definitely grey tanks need treatment. Sometimes the grey smells first even over the black tank despite being both treated.

Bought starlink right before ($299 deal from Home Depot!) our last trip of 4 weeks - saved us because we had very poor wifi and cellular the entire trip from home in Colorado to Glacier and through the PNW! Don't like the price increase because the extra features are of no use to us! We're part timers but tend to take some 2-3 week trips. Thanks for your videos.

I've been retired for about 2.5 years now, so has my wife. We were both 70 and done. One thing that I did was download an app onto my phone that did a countdown. I gave my work a 48 week notice that I was retiring. The app did years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds. I clocked out for the last time on my birthday, at the end of my shift and used accumlated vacation time to finish the month and started retirement the next month. As I walked out of work my wife, son, one daughter and son-in-law greeted me and we toasted with a small bottle of Fireball(each one had one of those individual little bottles). Don't miss the 12 hour shifts, but do miss people I used to work with!!!!!

My mother in law was a nurse and worked for the VA she retired after 20 years and retired for about a month went back to work at a different job for maybe another month and then she said what am I thinking my body can’t do this anymore so she retired fully lol but she still keeps up her licensing for being a nurse

Izzy your personality seems to scream I'll enjoy retirement. As a retired veteran of 13 years now, I wondered if I would get board? Answer is no, between part-time Rving and enjoying the outdoors, also my sticks and bricks I'm always into something. Do I ever miss the military? There are days I sure do, I even find myself wanting to go back but then I realize hey I can't do what I now do with my prior lifestyle. I get to enjoy my family more and even got to spend time with some family elders before they passed. Wouldn't have been able to do it if I had not retired. So go out and enjoy retirement at its fullest and keep the memories of the job as that Memories. Make some new ones on the road. Stay safe, you earned it. My dad was an officer so you definitely earned it. 🎉

We have an annual site now (for when we are not traveling) so we may sell the house (or rent) in the next year or so and just stay there until retirement. Loved talking to you two at Hershey! Question about the NIRVC show...DO they have class C's? And I saw some Super C's in the footage you showed from this past year's show, but i didn't see anything on a Ford chassis like a Thor or Jayco. Were they there? The reason I ask, we are in the market for a Super C on a F550/600 chassis. We looked at Hershey at both Thor and Jayco, but did like the Grand Design Lineage. Mike from Grand Design said they are working on a Super C on a Ford Chassis to be released in early '25. Would they be there either with the Lineage or the new Super C? If so, we'd be interested in attending. Sorry for the long response! But we are just looking for info and you are the folks to ask!

I haven't been able to work since my cancer diagnosis in 2016. Then not able to drive since 2020 with my epilepsy diagnosis. So I guess I'm retired lol just don't get money for it. My poor hubby has to work an extra 2 yrs to get insurance for me since he's 2 yrs old than me. He'll be 58 in Oct so he has quite a few years left. He hates his job. He's a plant manager and never gets a break. Even his days off when we went camping they call him with questions or issues
