Yet another amazing video from Khan Academy. Just to answer your question, why pancreas has an 's' at the end while it is not plural, the answer is because it is a Greek word and 's' at the end is not used for plural in Greek

Also pituitary gland controls all glands and is the master gland because it has hormones which gives the go ahead to other hormones and releases growth hormone .this is controlled by hypothalamus which allows the growth hormone to be released

PANCREAS IS KNOWN AS ENDOCRINE AND EXOCRINE GLAND. THE REASON BEHIND IS SO SIMPLE AND I THINK YOU MIGHT KNOW ABOUT IT. ONE PART OF THE PANCREAS SERVES AS ENDOCRINE AND OTHER PARTS OF IT SERVES AS EXOCRINE GLAND. NOW IF YOU GO ON COMPARING THE SIZE OF ENDOCRINE PANCREAS TO THROID GLAND. YOU ARE LIKELY TO FIND THAT THYROID GLAND IS BIGGER THAN ENDOCRINE PANCREAS PART
