such an inspiring video. he hit so many points regarding the current state of jazz that I've been trying to tell people for many years. I'm glad he's trying to take the genre forward instead of staying in the nostalgic style of play. it's like jazz quit progressing after the 80s. the 70's was like the last major shift in jazz and it just remained stagnant. I love what the Experiment is doing! they are legends in the making.

This music will bridge the gap between the elders and the young people. My dad put me onto Robert Glasper.

I see what you mean! I think that sometimes too, im like, "Why is Chris Dave so much?!" But I've just come to see it as his expression & I really dig his playing in a way because I look at it from a drummers stand point & RG's stand point and I realize that what he wants. The only time Chris Dave doesn't "overplay" is on the records he plays like Black Radio

every video has that comment. I do agree. I think it has to go, it sounds like a cheesy nerdy background advertising jingle for the cell phone shallow young generation.

+Pooch Luelz i feel like autotune is what has ruined the sound of vocoders for most people, what are your thoughts? personally i can enjoy them when its the right kind of sound and it fits the music but idk if it does here

Some people wont like what i have to say, but in the first 2:30 seconds of this vid, i totally vibe with RG, and I try to be that sensitive, egoless, and aware in the same fashion (so to speak). I think RG practices what he preaches, most definitely, but, his drummers like Chris Dave, and Jamire Williams are overplayers in my opinion. RG would be KILLER with guys like Nasheet Waits and Otis Brown III. This is just my opinion obviously, i just wanted to express it. BTW, no disrespect to NE1
