Totally agree with you... except the melodies aren't simple, they just sound like it... I think that's a big part of his genius, and yes I believe Stevie Wonder is a musical GENIUS. The harmonies and melodies are astonishing, unexpected... magical. I listen to "Golden Lady" today, probably 40 years after I first heard it, and it's still a revelation.

No, his melodies aren't simple. Maybe it's just me or you were a child prodigy as well. A chord for each note, so many 13th's and heck i think a couple of 16th's. lol. That is Stevie's magic his songs sound so smooth but once you look at the sheet music, WHOOOAAA! Heck, it took me a while to play if you really love me. be blessed
