l love your positivity! In all your videos, you just radiate kindness and self-acceptance, but also keep challenging yourself and encourage others to do the same, at their own pace! It's such a positive message, not just for artists :) Thank you!

@@ogawachikako It's good to see that some things got easier for you over time. And it's great to see someone embarking on a path to a better place, where they can feel good about themselves. Let's keep it up, I'm rooting for you :)

Some very wise words here! I've been so fortunate to have had very supportive people around me for as long as I can remember, but there are still times I can get discouraged - I love the idea about asking people for what you want - it's good advice. I spy with my little eye... The Little Prince! One of my favorites! You don't like PICKLES?? I'm so sad for you! (haha! Kidding!) Great video - I really like this intersection of art and psychology.

It means a lot to receive such kind feedback from a super creative and experienced artist like you! Hehe, you caught all the references. 'The Little Prince' is my favorite book too. I visited a museum in Japan, and it taught me many life lessons. Weeeeell, About pickles, I remove pickles from hamburger😆 but I'm ready to be convinced if you have a good product to change my mind!

@@ogawachikako I don't know if I can convince you to love pickles, but I think I'll pitch a children's book idea for you to write and illustrate... you know how a caterpillar becomes a butterfly... well the same thing happens when a cucumber transforms into the beautiful form of the pickle. It'll be a best seller! 🤣

im gonna have to look into the art friends video (if you end up making this) because i kind of lost most my friends recently! art is so important to me, but nobody would even acknowledge it many many times when i tried to reach out. my story is a bit sad, as i lost use of my arms 2 years ago, and slowly being able to do little things again (even just typing!) is so important and amazing for me. it was really hard to realise they didnt care for me the same way, and i need better friends 😅 art friends especially! wow 30 markets in a year? that's so amazing!! like every week and a half! i didnt even know there were that many (maybe it was a few that kept repeating?) either way it's great how hard you fight for your art 😊

Thank you so much for sharing your story and for your kind words 💖 I’m really sorry to hear about the challenges you’ve been facing with your arms, but it’s incredible to hear how you’re finding joy and strength through art again 🥹 Finding friends can't be easy, plus truly connecting and making an effort to understand each other can be more challenging. Through this life, I learned that I can't have a lot of friends, and I am happy with it. Your comment encourages me to talk about it more-my wish list is quite scattered right now! Thank you again for your lovely comment, and I hope you have a wonderful day filled with creativity and joy! 🌟

Very well put together Chikako! I believe most new artists feel discouraged when they started thinking about the feedback they may get that they may not want. I love your examples as well, pickles is definitely a great one! To me, art is much like singing in the shower. You don’t really sing for others, you sing because you enjoy singing :D good or bad, who really cares, as long as you’re happy right? I understand not a lot of people people have super thick armor like that, so hopefully this video will help them to develop the skin needed to create more. Thanks again!

Thank you so much for always being sweet. Yeah, I totally understand. I like the idea you mentioned that Art is like singing in the shower. It’s one of those things that you enjoy doing! But sometimes, passion can become too much of an obsession. When the balance isn't solid within you, someone's words could be unexpectedly sharp. It was a good reminder for me while I was making this video. It took me many years to recognize this, so I hope this content reaches new artists💪

@@ogawachikako absolutely! Over the years, I've just learned that having no expectation means I will have zero disappointment. I do feel bad for those who feel that they are stuck with doing what they need to do in order to survive, instead of what they actually love and enjoy doing. In a way, this video really helps Chikako. Helped my wife too ;)

My feedback to you. I'm not an artist. I watch all your videos because I'm learning English and I use your videos to improve my listening. His speech is clear and his voice is very pleasant to listen to. Furthermore, your tips are useful for other areas of life as well. The editing of your videos is great. Your art is also very cool. You are extremely captivating, friendly and your slightly shy way of being brings an even more special touch to you. You took off your glasses to make this video, but I think you look really good with glasses. You look more charming in them. I also watch other channels to practice my listening, including channels from native English speakers, but your channel is special because you convey peace and lightness. It's great to watch your videos. I felt like giving you this feedback since it's only been a while since you started the channel and you might be thinking: "I wonder if I'm good at this. Will people like my content?" I believe your channel will grow over time.

Hola! Thank you so much for leaving such a sweet comment. I am very honoured that you are using my videos to practice English! Since English is my second language, I'm sure I make some mistakes, but I hope you enjoy my Japanese accent and imperfection. About my glasses, I recently broke them and am waiting for a new pair, haha. My eyesight has worsened, so it was perfect timing to refresh them. Thanks again for watching my video!

@@ogawachikako Chikako, Research eye exercises. I started doing it and my vision improved a lot.... Really works. You have to do it every day. Research more about the subject, do the exercises every day and when you start to feel improvements, make a video about it. Our eyes need to move. And never rub your eyes. The cornea is very sensitive and can be easily damaged by scratching the eyes, causing cracks, which translate into long-term vision problems.

If you have time one day, I would love to hear your advice on making art friends! Growing up, I was always too shy to show my art to other people but now that I'm an adult, I want to be more confident and open to sharing my artwork with others. I think having friends that also love to draw like me will help me improve my skills, but I'm not really sure where to start. I'm pretty shy so I have a hard time introducing myself to people. Any advice would be wonderful!
