How hard are the courses? Any super technical stuff? Thinking of racing this year and want to get an idea of the courses.

Have you ever tried racing downhill? You definitely have the endurance and technical skills for it.

I have never tried (well, aside from that one time kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4Ktc2V6nqqVaqM). I might do more VCDH races next year if I can.

great video! Have you ever considered to use a gimbal? I mean recording in 4k with a gimbal would be incredible
@bengoyette8 жыл бұрын
I might get a Karma and try that! Although it's not something that's going to be practical to bring in a race

A bit off your game that day or did you push yourself and made a few mistakes because of that?
@bengoyette8 жыл бұрын
I smashed my PRs (Personal Record) on every stage that day. But my best optimal laps, they only happen when my Garmin & GoPro are mysteriously not recording and no one is watching ;-)
@Schuimp1e8 жыл бұрын
Well good job sir! Nice setting new PRs :D

Is wearing clips significantly better for these races than flats?
@bengoyette7 жыл бұрын
No, I would say the majority were on flats. I do clipless because I ride XC mostly; so it trains me mentally
@AmadeColenbrander7 жыл бұрын
Ben Goyette thanks I'm just worried about my feet going off the pedals when I pedal at high speeds
@bengoyette7 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's definitely more stable under power and when hitting rocks unexpectedly, but it's in the tight switchbacks where you lose most time trying to re-clip after drifting the corner
