Ah, the unmistakeable sound of the Mammoth Mountain pumice.

1.5 weeks til my vacation. I'll be spending 10 days up there. Gonna hit the mountain plus do some XC around the June Lake area. Looks like only part of the mountain will be open, but we'll make the best of it.

Good thing you got a tube with you, could be a shame walking all the way down

Oh man that would have been a long hike down. Turns out we only put some CO2 in the tire and it sealed ok.

I love that pink Santa Cruz and other colors.... Bronsons right? ....wish they had color options like that still....instead of the ugly new tan color... But great bikes. Cool video!. I've never ridden Mammoth that high up. Takes a while to get down.

yes, both Bronson. It’s like riding on the moon up there

Man those hydraulic brakes really stop you quickly and silently. In the old days the "canti's " would have been screaming. Ride looks death defying.

Oh man! I bet you would need Popeye forearms to ride this top-to-bottom with canti's

good footy! is it dry and slippery up there or do you get somewhat good grip?
@bengoyette8 жыл бұрын
There's a ton of grip on the narrow clean line, but then it's crazy loose & slippery on the sides. So it's tricky to be fast there, it takes a lot of precision and commitment.

thanks Ben, just got a Devinci Spartan and getting used to the smaller wheelbase. Summit wasn't too bad but Mammoth looks a little more loose.

do people usually wear a backpack for the enduro race?
@bengoyette8 жыл бұрын
Mostly yeah. At KBG I don't though. I just carry a bottle and gels and I'll stop at my car to grab some food during a transition.
