Met Frankie like 10 different times at separate events in over 10 years. He was always cool af, and remembered me after a couple times meeting. Being in a band is tough and like being in a relationship with 4 different people like 4 different girlfriends. Been there, it’s hard to get along all the time. Frankie is dope man. Hope Emmure lives forever. I’ll play drums for him lol.

The chemistry of the band was so bad. I can see why is completely fell apart. Frankie had a vision for the band and everyone else just didn’t see it. Since they left and Josh Travis stepped up, best music the band has ever done.
@Rob_Cary
@Rob_Cary 11 ай бұрын
I would definitely say at this point that Frankie's vision for the band is turning into a "for better or worse" kinda deal. The potential built on look at yourself was almost completely curbed on the following album where Josh Travis was regulated to 0s, endless Korn and Bizkitisms that everyone, not just Frankie, need to let go of at this point, and resulted in Josh Miller leaving and now that we see what he's capable of in DARKO, the last emmure album should have been SO much better. the entire second half of hindsight just sounded like unfinished ideas released as A sides. Glass Cloud was a great band that dissolved in favor of Josh doing this so Frankie needs to let him write and shine more and bring that chaotic Danza energy. The Korn shit is played out.

Lol frankie was such a bellend. He had so many good members in the band at the time and still felt he was bigger than them all. He had members from Bury Your Dead and Recon in the band at the time. You couldn't get better musicians for that type of band at the time.

Look at what happened now too. He lost the guy that would go on to form DARKO. Frankie holds himself back more than anybody else. Everybody wants to hear emmure ditch the nu metal stuff and become more Danza esque with Frankie's vocals on it...everybody except Frankie. If it turns out that "look at yourself" never gets topped and that's their peak, I won't be surprised.

I kinda feel for Palmeri. I mean he is the lead man trying to get the band to its full potential, and despite what a lot of people say he is respectful and kind as far as i can tell. He got heated when his vision was compromised but who wouldn't? Thats how bands work things out, or dont. Hardest part of being in a band.

Yes true. Calling the drummer a slave during soundcheck doesn’t help his case though. Being in a band is so much navigating all the personality’s. Sure it was a joke but you see my point. Most jokes have meaning behind them… it shows how he really feels about the rest of his members.

So deadass I brought this dvd back when they where doing a special release of it a several years back on vinyl and the only way you got this dvd was if you got the biggest aka most expensive package for $120 you got a poster, tshirt, the vinyl and this dvd. and almost any emmure fan i met seemed to not know of this dvd or its contents and when i would tell people how frankie (one of my many vocal idols [strictly musically]) was a asshole behind the scenes but how the two times i met him (once at a warped tour and once a south by so what here in tx) and he was the coolest and down to the earth guy. and its just crazy to see both sides of the coin. anyways its nice to see this getting out and more people getting eyes on this! I still love emmure though and im loving the new sound/vibe on the new albums with josh!

@@icheaux Honestly he doesn't seem affected by any of this. The video shows that he clearly had a problem with mark, and with the band in general when it comes to communication/general musical direction/decision making. He seems angry yes, but I've seen a lot of bands having a feud like that and honestly it's not the end of the world. At some point people just can't stand each other, that's the core of the problem to me. Frankie spoke a lot about this in recent podcasts and interviews, where he explains that "familiarity breeds contempt". At some point you can start a fight easily with poeple when you are stuck with them everyday at any moment, see what I mean ?

He legit does seem like a super cool and legit/down to earth dude. I don’t really hold the assholeness against him tbh, because it probably like one of those situations when your just around someone to much and every little thing they do starts to piss you off. I definitely understand where he’s coming from if that’s what he felt. I just recently got into Emmure, I only knew about their song “solar flare homicide” from like years and years ago but just started hearing a bunch of their stuff and wow they have some chunky headbangers. Fucking lovin it boys.

@@vincenttorchinsky7340 this is a very good point. Parkway Drive went through a similar problem and ended up receiving group therapy, which saved the band. I hope other bands can learn from that and learn to communicate their problems in a healthy way.

Thats the only way this shit wouldnt burn to the ground. No one is gonna wanna not have some sort of creative influence while writing tracking.
