Todd is a legend. He has united so many different fanbases together all in the love of extreme music. Wether you're a hardcore kid, an OG death metal head, a crust punk, or into grind, Nails has something for you. Also, shot out to Taylor Young, who was the OG drummer of Nails, he is a legend too. Hes not only behind other great bands like Twitching Tongues and Gods Hate, he's produced so many good albums by bands like Drain, Judiciary, Sunami, Xibalba, Momentum, Torena, Tribal Gaze, and Mindforce

Nails was the reason i got into hc. I was tiptoeing into the scene a bit but when i went to the nails/twitching tongues/code orange tour it blew my fucking mind and i dove head first into my local scene. During nails the venue was an absolute warzone. People were throwing trash cans and barstools. Bottle were broken over heads, noses were broken, the whole 9 yards. Still one of my favorite shows of all time. I also have issues with being pissed off and nails is oddly soothing/calming in a weird way because It fills like it goes as fast as my brain and matches my temper. One if my all time favorites.

Lot of respect for Todd about how he handled the question about his former bandmates. One of the most important guitarists and song writers in hardcore. Lowest of the Low is the most important record in hardcore for me.

It was about publishing btw. That is fair of me, an outside party to say. The other members were really bummed out about not getting publishing, which matters when you're in your 30s. Todd had built it around him getting all the pub, so he couldn't just fork it over. He handled this right, just like how Taylor handled it well when he left.

Todd is such a nice dude, I saw them in Baltimore in 2016 or 2017 I believe, he talked to me for probably 20 mins about music and life, and just being who you are, and it dosent matter what music you listen to with friends, if you want to create something you’re interested in, do it and people will listen if you have something to say

Bad Brains is a massively influential hardcore punk band. Noted for their incredibly fast and tight live shows. They were initially an jazz fusion group. Take some deep breaths. We all have more in common than we assume. If you want to really go there, realize his melodic use of chromatic voice leading built off the altered & blues scales. But there’s just other ways to comprehend music.
