I've riden the older Eva and loved the look, feel and handling. But was disappointed with the range considering the size of the battery. I guess the weight and power has a negative effect on range. Also tried the SR/F, but prefered a faired bike, so chose the SR/S. I don't miss having no DC charging, because DC chargers are mostly located along the highway here in the Netherlands, and I avoid the highway as much as possible. Public chargers are AC. There my SR/S with 6 kW charger is twice as fast as the Energica. But 99% of the time I charge at home.
@RH-xm5uk3 жыл бұрын
The new Eva (Ribelle) does 150km range on legal highway speed (103 real km/h). I commute 60 to and 60 back daily and don't need to charge in between. Those 120km are 15 rural and 105 highway. With fast overtaking of everything slower than 103 (on the highways). The 3kW AC charging is underwhelming but no problem when home charging. And there is still DC charging for long trips.

Strong point for the Zero, the belt drive. Big drawback for the Energica, the chain drive. Still, I went for the Energica for the bigger range and faster charging. Better looks as well. Btw, my favourite Zero is the SR/S over the SR/F. A very elegant bike.
@MrJoe9883 жыл бұрын
Chain is a problem why? I know is more maintenance, but on the other hand chain is less likely to break while riding, and if that happens it can be "patched" on the side of the road, if the belt snaps, and you don't have a spare with you, you are stuck!
@RH-xm5uk3 жыл бұрын

Would it climb a kerb in walking mode, without a run-up? ie. if the front wheel was pressed-up hard against a four-inch kerb, would it need to reverse or would it still be capable of going forward? I've asked this elsewhere on the EV forums and received no satisfactory answer. Neither has any reviewer on KZbin covered the subject of manouvering the bike on undulating/sloping & confined spaces (using walking mode) to any useful degree. Those of us who are pressed for space need to know such things! Simply going forward and back on a level surface tells us little. Cheers.
