I was 63 yesterday, lived through the finest musical decades, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. Thanks to John Peel I started to get into house and trance in the mid 90's and on new years eve1999 I went to meet a mate of mine to get some acid.. He couldn't get any but asked me if I'd be interested in a pill instead. After Old Lang Syne I was walking home and happened to be walking past a nightclub and could hear the beat through the walls so I went inside. It was the start of 3 years of pills and being the first on the dance floor and the last off and this amazing track was part of that journey. To say I feel privileged is an understatement...

@@Matrice0409 I didn't "get" this music at the time when I was 14/15 and into Nirvana and stuff which is all very well but that kind of music seems very prescriptive ( lyrics telling you what to think )... whereas this music is spiritual and transcendent of mundane existene... it's a pathway to higher plane of dance and euphoria and I wish I'd noticed it at the time of clubbing in the 90s as I wouldn've absolutely loved it , I know.

It's hard to disagree with... Not my personal favorite, but it's virtually impossible to argue against the massive, otherworldly drop at 6 minutes. Even people who find trance cheesy, will go mental whenever that is played on the dancefloor, regardless of it being 2004, 2014, or 2024.

Hi, I was in the studio and made this track. It took me (Andre Sträßer) and Sharam Jey two weeks to make this remix. In the end we had heard the track 1000 times and weren't sure if it was good enough. We didn't realize that we had put on a mega track. We didn't celebrate or anything, we were just happy that it was over and the mixer was free again for the next track.

I was 19y old in '98 and I played at the club from 10pm to 6am, 2 to 3 evenings each weekend. I bought the 12" on a thursday in Antwerp, and played it in front of the audience on friday, at the European release weekend of this remix. I still get goosebumps of the break, the anticipation and the exploding synth. I saw the crowd go wild and just shout from the top of their lungs. From that moment on, I knew trance was going to dominate Europe until 2001.
