In the second example, why did you have to calculate the energy to be infinite to determine that it was a power signal? You already found that the average power was finite. Does this not automatically mean that the energy must be infinite and that it is therefore a power signal? (without needing to explicitly do the calculation for energy?)

Sir we know that P = E / T and putting in the limiting values we get the formula as P = lim T->inf [(1/T) * |{x(t)}^2| , then why do we write 1/T as 1/(2N + 1) here in this video? Also, Thank you so much for this series Sir! :)

-n to n denotes total time intervals... So summation of -n to n will be 2n+1 which denotes total time... And power=e/t: where t=2n+1

i didnt understand anything . how did you get the n(n+1)(2n+1)

Sir.in the above examples both the signals are defined from - infinity to + infinity at every value.i.e ramp signal from - infinity to zero is zero and zero to infinity is n. And dc value is A from - infinity to + infinity. Then how they can be discrete signals and why you used discrete signals formula to solve them. Please explain sir.previous I have asked another question in even and odd signal you are not answering.
@abdelrahmansamy91125 жыл бұрын
Its sampled signal from continous time ramp signal so its discrete It doesn't defined in between the sample interval

Summation of 1 does not consist of n term then where did you put -infinity and +infinity terms? And concluded its equal to infinity? Plz explain

can current through an inductor and voltage through a capacitor considered as a energy signal.?
@abhayawasthi1638 жыл бұрын
yes because anything which is finite is energy signal none of the power supply will give you infinite energy so it is correct and as by concept an inductor and capacitor can never exist as a single element in circuit

I know this is late, but for future people seeing this: In discrete time, the energy of periodic signals is infinity. sin and cos being periodic signals (T = 2 pi), the power is infinity. At least that's what my professor told me.

Well i am having a hard time understand that how 1 is equal to 2N+1
@apostolosmavropoulos1777 жыл бұрын
1 is not equal to 2n+1 .THE SUMMATION OF ones(1) from -n to +n is equal to 2n+1. for example* the summation of ones(1) from -2 to 2 is 5. 2n+1 for n=2 (upper limit of Σ) equals 5.
@shubhamide6 жыл бұрын
i can't understand it. in summation of 1 there is no term that is including N so how can he write 2N+1
