You missed covering some fundamental elements: 1) Plumbing infrastructure, where's the water coming from? 2) Sewage and drain infrastructure, where's the poop and soapy water going? 3) Power infrastructure, where's the electricity and communications cables coming from? 4) Access and vehicle Infrastructure, where do people park their cars and/or their water transport to/from the homes?

All the plumbing is under the deck, the walkway inbound, outbound. It gets pumped to the islands treatment plant, treated, and then gets pumped out to sea. Electricity is all solar. Parking space is on the islands and you get your wifi from the islands. Most of the owners have boats to go back and fourth. They also have boats on call to pick up and drop off like an uber.
@MRTOMBO
@MRTOMBO 2 жыл бұрын
@@nathane2243 Thank you. I am disappointed with the "pumping out to sea" of ANYTHING Man claims is now treated as safe. Not being snarky, just my opinion. Would have been nice if they invested as much in a septic tank / treatment facility located landside somewhere, instead of the pretty window dressing out front, and then just "pump it out to sea".

I used to be in a specialty industry for unique construction projects for years, and I cringed when I saw that the access doors to the escape hatch were open out, a thing that can be a little hard to do with water rushing in. @@kiriyomase6209 The hatch does open out, which would be unforgivable if it opened in. The problem is the doors to the hatch room pull open into the main bedroom rather than pushing into the hatch room. As you correctly outlined, if water was rushing in, there is a chance that the pressure will be too much to pull open the doors to the hatch room itself, making the hatch at the top of the ladder completely useless since you would be unable to get into the hatch room. Pushing the doors into the hatch room from the main bedroom should be how it works.

When I saw a bedroom at 7:44, my first guess was this is a movie theater. Such an amazing picture in movie about nature, sea or something like that. quick doubts_ 1. is the house literally floating, if no how does it manages changing water levels? 2. how are the septic tanks installed and how are they maintained? 3. are the services to house like electricity, internet underwater? 4. since there is no direct road to access is there there provision of dock for boats?

Obviously there was electricity since the lights were on...and they built a mansion which i assume involved power tools... Have you ever seen a bridge over water? Theyre actually not floating above the surface and most have a concrete base all the way to the bottom of the water as does this house. Id imagine the plumbing is very similar to that of a yacht and that somebody would have to come empty your septic tank regularly. You certainly arent going to be tied to any traditional sewage line. In the beginning of the video you can see the boat that brought these guys out there as theyre talking on the outside deck which has the same features as any marina and dock to tie down a boat.

Where I'm from there is a fenced off area of the city that only residents are allowed in (but taxes from everyone in the city pay for and this causes a lot of tension between regular residents and residents from the rich area). Nearly all of them have yachts and houseboats like this parked at the back of their houses on the canals. Recently we had a massive storm and less than a dozen boats out of maybe 300 survived. It was incredibly satisfying to watch so many of them panic as their extravagant purchases smash together and sink.

Imagine making up that bed every morning. But of course, the housekeeper would do that. Wait, the housekeeper would have to live there because it's on the water. Or that person would have to charter a boat to get to work. But the up side of that is probably fewer parties to have to clean up after. Fewer visitors. Parking would not be a problem, but would be replaced by having to get a row-boat to usher visitors to and from their yachts. Worries I will never have. People who have the money to be able to live like that, have too much money.

Technically you could have your own water treatment plant, in-house. You're surrounded by water, you just need to de-salinize - remove the salt, Pasteurize the water, run it through UV, filter it with multistage filtration: sedimentation, carbon filters and run a water softener. Heck you could even make your own oxygen, hydrogen, and even home-made bleach (sodium hypoclorite) with an electrolysis machine.

This is amazing! But I wouldn't feel comfortable sleeping in that bedroom. It'd feel like it's a terrarium and I am the fish's pet. They'll gather around and observe me and then knock on the windows to see how I react. 😱

So here’s the problem with anything floating, say birds or in most cases bugs are trying to make their way across the water will often take breaks on anything floating that means your house in this case it’s happened to me a few times while kayaking in certain places but basically when you’re in the ocean you’re a resting spot for everything

If you can afford a $20,000,000 house, your only real problems are making sure your assistants are resolving your problems for you before you notice them. That way you spend most of your time worrying about which celebrity yacht party you’re going to because Mac Miller and Nipsey hussle (a spelling enthusiast) invited you to a yacht party on the same day. We’ve all got problems, but one person’s problem is another person’s treasure. Maybe it’s a rather well off ornithologist/entomologist. The point is, we don’t have all of the facts.
