I’ve never heard it being claimed as a Native American show. I’m Native and I’ve never been offended by the show or felt any type of cultural appropriation from the show. It’s just a tv show, don’t watch it if you don’t like it.

He left the show for his own vanity project. This is what Costner does. They killed him off? Oh, that's too bad. Maybe they can have a shower scene where all of this was a fever dream. Or maybe this can be Costner's last big role--oh, I hope that's true. I really don't hate him. I just find him to be an incredible PR man for his projects. 40 years of in front of the camera sincerity makes me not trust him.
