I usually think the same thing when they spend a good amount time looking at the audience while they're talking. They're trying to put some space between themselves and Drew. On other talk shows, like late nights, where there is a natural divide, the guests storms most of the time looking at the host and then the audience may be included for a moment or two. When the first is talking to the host but then looking at the audience, that's a sign to me that the host needs to back up.
