it says Unreal Engine 5.... have news for you.... Squadron 42 is NOT on Unreal Engine 5.... it's actually on CIG's OWN bespoke engine, called StarEngine.... and Unreal Engine couldn't cope with the level of entities going on in that game... Good to see the growing positive coverage even trailers on SQ42 though 🙂

Unglaublich wunderschön aber solche Spiele haben eine mindest Produktionszeit von 5 Jahren. Auch wenn die unreal engine 5(.) die Wartezeiten etwas verkürzt aber man hat uns jetzt wirklich lange hingehalten und Corona😮 die Schuld in die Schuhe geschoben. Ich finde auch das AAA Spiele erst 1-2 Jahre vor Erscheinung präsentiert werden sollte. Weil Spieler mit der Zeit

naja, einige davon sind schon laaaange in Entwicklung. z.B. gleich das erste viodeo von Squadron 42 - das spiel ist seit mehr als 12 Jahren in Entwicklung...

There a few glitches in the whole clip even the one that was not played and recorded at Citizencon, like one of the officers face changes from old version to a new one on one of the ships and back and forth. Since it's the prologue for the game it seems to be a rough version they showed.

Yep he's a recent addition to the cast of SQ42. Apparently he did it for free from what I heard for that small part.

These all SEEM promising, too bad it's mostly just marketing CGI hype. Except Dune, that actually as gameplay and is currently in closed beta. I'm so excited for Dune.

to refine the previous answer: sq42 is gameplay of the starter mission in engine. not UE5, but their own version of lumberyard that has seen years of change and adaptations. there is a 75min video from last week on the star citizen yt channel if you not just wanna see some parts of it...

F**k Dune Awakening! There is no single player, just MMO bulls**t... There is such a massive world and the only game to come out after the movies is an MMO. :))) Frustrating for fans of that universe who don't give a f.. about multiplayer.
