Excellent, great video. Thanks for the tutorial. Is it feasible to replace that stock stereo to a Double-DIN with more modern features? I had a floating screen Kenwood DNR1007XR in my previous vehicle, it was an exceptional piece of hardware, but it looks like that wouldn't really work in the S550. I'm looking at buying an S550 but as mentioned, better navigation and modern connectivity features (plus the reference-grade audio quality) are definitely nice to have. Is the stock speaker setup, etc, any match for the upgraded reference-grade Kenwood model? I saw on a site that it has 2 subwoofer built in as well. Any info helps

Usually we add carplay to this car using the factory screen. If you are looking to add better audio just get a new system put in and go direct bluetooth to the new amplifire.

Would this be the easiest way to replace the aux cable going to the glove box ?

If you are local I can help you with that. But I have never done that before.

is it an NTG3 or NTG3.5 drive? I have a 2007 CL500 just like yours and it doesn't have an AUX connection in the glove box. Is it possible to put it? There is no original mercedes cable?

This was a customers car. I cannot answer what this car was becasue I do not remember. I think an aux can be coded into the car. We usually have to do that when we install CarPlay.
