Global proximity? Not necessarily. You never know who's coming to town and whose town you are going to end up in, even if it is on the other side of the world. The mutual attraction is a natural attraction. The soul mates cannot help but be attracted to one another.

it will (allegedly) feel like you're looking into a mirror image of your soul when you experience this person.

I can truly relate to what you are talking about. I am an INFJ/ENFJ. I feel engerized by being by myself but I also feel energized by being around people. The opposite is also true. Both can drain me if I am not careful. Too much people time and I feel drained, too much me time and I have an inch to communicate. But, I often wonder about this. Can I really be both an E and an I or am I really one but, have learned to be like the other..I donno? What do others think? What do you think Mike?

Okay, I am an INTJ, and I know that the attraction is often based on very relative things. Based on the situation, the mood, the topic that presents itself I can seem charismatic and competent or awkward and tentative, never mind the person and how good we are for each other. There is nobody who 'gets you' completely, we are all limited by the physical reality of our bodies, you can just delude yourself into ignoring everything not ideal. It very much depends on your own attitude.

I relate very much to feeling like the relationship is over because there was a disagreement about something. I'm inclined to believe that's true of most NFs. For me personally, as an INFP, it's especially bad if the disagreement was about values. "How can they think like that??? And how can I be with someone who thinks like that???"

Thank you so much for posting this, and for what you said @ 6:34 b/c I find that very supportive and genuinely caring. I find that I'm constantly attacked by non-NT's in some way or other, and I have that ENFP thing where I can't seem to forget about it; it's almost like I need someone to hypnotize me lol! So, it's good to have this where I can be sure that I don't personalize these types of interactions, and I can know that there are others like me : ) Thank you again for your time and effort!

Hi, I'm from Brazil. Thanks for posting all those nice and interesting videos for us. That thing about our need of loving someone and being loved is so true for us ENFJ! I can tell based on my personal experience. When I look behind I can see how much energy I put into relationships, trying to make them work. I really spent a good part of my life looking for my soulmate always wondering where he was. Now I'm married, I love my husband and feel that my search is over. :)

This is crazy! I didn't know about this personality test until a few weeks ago. I thought I was crazy! It's nice to know there's people like me out there.

dude, we are very similar. i have gotten my needs satisfied on that alone. anything else is superficial and isn't worth my time and as a result, i tend to hold out long periods for deep and serious relationships rather than 1 night stands, flings etc. it's actually quite emotionally damaging for me to engage in anything of a romantic or sexual nature without that deep seated mental connection with my partner.

Your "love" soulmate is going to be physically attractive to you because they *are* your soulmate - other people may not necessarily find that person attractive and you may not find traditionally attractive people as attracted, because they are not soulmates. You are connecting at a deeper level - not only the physical level - and you can't help but be drawn to them. Sorry to jump in, but as an INFJ, I have lots of thoughts on soulmates :)

I know what you're saying, but there is an assumption that people are marrying their soulmates - and that is not always true. People marry for lots of different reasons - attractiveness, education, fear of loneliness, security, etc. - many of which may or may not be legit reasons to marry. Given the divorce rate, obviously people aren't always marrying soulmates. Of course, just because you're with a soulmate doesn't mean it will necessarily last - sometimes soulmates are meant to leave too

I can see characteristics of Brittany in my own mannerisms. I am comfortable at meeting new people and can talk to almost anyone. However, I do prefer one on one interactions more or small groups over large group discussions as I can get get more of a feel about people that way and get to the heart of trying to understand that person. I love talking things through with people and enjoy the company of others. If you were to see me in a social situation you might think I was an E (many do).

I've been wondering what my personality type is for a while now but watching these makes it more and more clear that I'm ENFJ. Even if she wasn't speaking at all I can feel this familiar air around her and she uses different kind of gestures and expressions that I link strongly to myself. These are great videos, thank you for making them and keep it up! :)

"NFs are looking for a deep soul mate" You should do a love episode for the other types. What is love to them? What are they looking for in love? Etc. I would love to hear Alex explain what he considers to be love and such. *evil grin* :)

I still don't really understand the concept about the "Twin Flames", is there any pointers or can you try to elaborate?

Shallow would be being with someone solely for their looks, either to have them as a sexual object or to boost how others perceive you by being with someone who is generally attractive. Either way it is objectifying and selfish. On the other hand, there is nothing wrong with finding your soul mate attractive in some way. It is that that cannot be the only reason to be with them.

I'm an INTP and Brittany acts like my mom! She have the same point of view that I would never understand in a million years. I have a fascination with love, but in a more 'what's the concept of love' and 'what triggers love, is it only sexual oriented or something beyond that' Typical NTs I guess :p

I'm an INFP and my issue with the twin flame idea is maybe a personal, but because I'm trying to break out alittle of my idealism and develop a more realistic view of the world in fear that my idealism will hinder me the twin flame idea pushes me more into the realm of fantasy and further away form reality which I'm trying so hard to get it. It scares me because I'll forever be trapped in my mind thinking about how to meet my twin flame but never taking action.

Whose to say you're not the ogre in the relationship? Soulmates can come in many forms, but it will feel right no matter what.

But, at the same time I really love being my self. I love time to think, reflect, process and I spend a loott of time doing this. If people really saw the actual amount of time I spend reflecting and thinking they would probably think I was an Introvert. There must be others like me. Mike if you have time, could you do video response for people like me. Thank-you :)

"twin flames" is from a myth that god creates a soul & splits it in two. two people on earth will carry the separate "twin" halves of one spiritual "flame." it's just another word for soulmate.

Eh. This is an old video, but I figured I'd mention this on the topic of "twin souls" A while ago, I read a book called "The Gargoyle" by Andrew Davidson which seems to fit the description perfectly. Hope to see you back when the school season starts up again.

Sorry..don't buy into the twin flame..;( I think thats a major problem with NFs-they just fail to see reality. Theres nothing wrong with having ideals or imagination about love. but think of it like this..why is a book so much better than a movie? Because the physical manifestation will never be the same as whats in your head
