I'd prefer mine to float in such cases rather than having to dive in the pool or ocean.swimming after a speaker in the pool or calm ocean water is easier than rough seas

I have three of those speakers, and right now my favorite is the W-King 10. The only downside is that they advise not playing the bass for extended periods. Another speaker brand that I had, but walked is the Altec Lansing models. They were all good, and had great quality for the price. Like the reviewer, I too was extremely disappointed in the Bose model. It's good enough for a room, but that's about it. I don't even like the ones in my car.

I own several BT speakers, JBL flip4, JBL Charge 3, JBL Xtreme2 and few others much more expensive ones such as Sony SRS-XP700 and UE hyperboom. Always making up a new excuse to keep trying new BT speakers, I was looking for something small to cover my small office at home without spending and arm and a leg on it. I tried a few more like LG PK9 Xboom since I need it Aptx-HD, but wasn't good enough. Finally I heard some unbranded speakers Motion+ from soundcore from a friend with Tidal Hifi Plus and was sold. I ordered two Motion+ on sale for $75 each, $150 total, pair them both in stereo on my MacBookPro using the best bluetooth audio transmitter in the market, FIIO BTA30 Pro via AptX and was blown away by the audio quality. Always consider your audio sources, if you are going to listen to youtube videos or downloaded songs from internet, there will not be much difference regardless what speakers you chose in terms of audio quality. I use Tidal Hifi Plus and FLAC audio tracks in 24bit 192KHz.

Bought and returned Tribit Pro and Motion boom after comparing them to W-king x10 which has a very nice sound signature right out of the box. The bass is absolutely amazing from this size of a speaker. Paid $92 and couldn’t be more impressed. Excellent value

I agreed with all of your conclusions except I somewhat disagree about the Bose Soundlink Color II. I like it as a general purpose speaker, it has a convenient size and form factor, cool colors, and enjoyable sound, although I agree probably it's not the best choice for $130. Your most interesting conclusion was on the Soundcore Motion Boom. It is rare to hear a reviewer not swept up in Motion Boom mania! My favorite in this roundup, based only on sound quality, is W-King T9.

I myself have the Soundcore Motion Boom, and 2x Soundcore Motion Boom Plus. What i can say about the little Motion Boom is: Its surprising. Sounds awesome for being so small, i can attach it to my backpack, Battery lasts forever (2-4 days easily) it gets fairly loud, is water and dropproof, you can charge your Phone with 10W Chargingspeed and it drains the battery of the speaker to 50% in 6-8h use. I absolutely love it and took it everywhere with me also it got dropped several times 😅 and still no issues at all. BUT Outdoors it loses a lot of bass and sounds a bit lost unless u can put it in a corner or for example under your parked car

You have to set the EQ on the Anker Boom….you’ll get great sound quality and the lowest bass on almost any speaker!…. It won’t have the clarity of a motion + but it’s called the boom for a reason! Dude check out Alan Ross video on the Anker Boom…. It’s his pound for pound champ….. like I said in its default…no it’s not so good, but in its EQ custom setting…. There are very few that includes high end speakers that can match it… you have to rethink your assumptions.The W King t9 is not water proof so that’s out…. The x10 is a good speaker, but the zealot at high volume has bad distortion…pos!

Good review. But I have to ask you did you customize the app for the soundcore motion boom. It makes a thousand percent difference. I've had many and many speakers and nothing comes close to it. If you don't customize The Equalizer I agree it just sounds normal. Please let me know

I bought both Souncore speakers (Motion Boom & MB Plus), when you adjust the EQ on their app, its far more better than JBL, Bose and Sony..... You have to use each speaker at its full potential to get an accurate sound test. Trust me Soundcore is a better speaker.

I bought the Soudcore select pro for $35 couple months ago it's worth it it crazy how much prices change in a few months. I been seeing the Ion pathfinder speaker at costco and amazon for less than 150 it has a 99 hr battery or something not sure if you have tried it yet

Anker motion boom when tweaking the EQ amounts to 105-106 Db, secondly, the price is a lot lower i bought it for £70. And the sound clarity is as good as Dbboars speaker range. So motion boom is still the best speaker of the whole speaker range. Case closed

I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.

Nice speaker roundup, brother! Some points on this video. It's not a "Anker Soundcore" speaker. That's the Company brand. It's the Soundcore Motion Boom. Interesting that you threw it under the bus without regard when it's one of the better speakers in this price/size range and very well regarded by many. The Zealot S67 has a lot of distortion and you could even hear it in your video. From 60% vol. and less it's not bad. Above that it's a really poor sounding speaker due to the bass being ate up with distortion.

@@daver6555 Thanks for getting back to me. I picked up the x-10. It sounds decent. I always use the EQ on it to remove some of the bass. I'm a little disappointment in how quickly the battery drains. But I use it indoors, so I always keep it on the charger.

@@areem5498 I use Wavelet Pro app to EQ the X10. First I EQ'd it to sound natural and then bump up the lower mids and treble for vocals. Massive difference from stock muddy sound.
