It would be an absolute baller move to mass produce these. Just bringing a 40 year old car and Engine back to mass production powered by environmentally friendly Hydrogen would be a massive middle finger to the competition, and I guarantee you that Trueno would definitely sell.

They fact they even put a similar decal as the AE86 from Initial D on it shows just how much Toyota actually cares about the impact their cars had on people, just kinda amazed they didn't play Eurobeat, Hyundai N did, they made 2 Eurobeat playlists with help from Odyssey Eurobeat

We still have one last hope for the revival of the cars we know and love: The Porsche Zero Emission fuel project, with synthetic materials used rather than fossil fuels, could save the ae86 and many more like it. It could change the course of the future and we may still get the same perfect combustion engines which we know and love. Things like this though, reignite my hope. Although the BEV isn't very significant to me, I see the future of combustion engines in hydrogen powered vehicles. The same power, sounds and feeling of the cars which we as a community wish to save. Thank you, Toyota. ❤

Wish i could work together with you on a exciteing project. I want to convert my Ae86 body to a awd drivetrain of a skyline r33 gtr and swap a 3sgte. If the hydrogen fuel is developed further that the tanks doesnt need the whole boot space. I would love to convert my engine to hydrogen.

they are, there is a cheaper alternative that might be of interest of you. it's called the mazda 323f bg. it's a car from the 90's same style car as the 86 but wayyyy cheaper (and less power)

ehhhh hydrogen car cannot have tofu in the back :< but I hope that we will improve this technology its the answer for GR type cars and other competetors EV kinda boring, only one minus of H-ICE its nitro oxide but from cars like this its a drop in the sea, Belive In you Toyota!!!
