I think this is honestly the Best Round of 8 out of all 17 seasons. I've watched every single ASL all the way through and KSL and I don't ever recall there being such a loaded round of 8. These are all players who are LONG overdue for a title and then Mini and Soulkey who are already Championship level. So amazing. I really do't want to see Snow or Bisu lose, but somebody has got to lose.

Yeah, Arto seems a bit hyper these last 2 groups. Imho he lets his streamer "biased protoss-hater" persona take over in the casts a bit too much. I love both of his sides unconditionally, ofc, but I do hope his more professional caster persona ("balanced and cerebral analyst") also gets more spotlight.

Yeah pretty much. At pro level every single move is thought out or at least they have a decent idea when zoning and army movement. One you get passed like B-A rank every single move is thought out.

@@EB-bl6cc Nah I actually think that there were 2 lurkers in there. I could be wrong. Also it could've been a fake to get the sairs out of position, but certainly wasn't a mistake. The weird thing is he like double thought about it and didn't pounce on it for like 10 seconds, giving Snow the time to send the Corsairs. I think what happened is he either sent it to drop 2 lurker or as a fake and then 2nd guesssed himself or decided to fill more units but by then it's too late. Snow knew drop was coming.

SPOILER ------- So glad that Snow and Sharp made it out of this incredibly tough group. This tournament is looking REALLY good for Sharp so far. Hoping that my boy can make it to a Finals again, win or lose. His play is looking pretty solid lately, and having only head to head matches from here will help his prep. Wondering if mixing in M&M's and starting to upgrade their attack is a counter to this Carrier built. Ofc APM being a limited resource Sharp still had 1400minerals, if he built 4-6 barrackes, starts wep upgrade since he alrady have engineering bay and then just mass queues marines with all that available minerals he has, he is not needing the minerals for vultures, sure dragoons kill marines EZPZ but its about synergy right? Goliaths/Tanks+M&M's. There was one ASL I think it was light switched to M&M's to counter carriers and the interceptors melted away, tho that was late game not mid game.

Why do reavers sometimes one shot like 10 scvs in one scarab (60 hp), and sometimes the reaver does what seems like 25 damage against vultures and stuff?

Scarabs deal 100%, 50% or 25% damage depending on where a unit is compared to where it goes off. If you're moving away from it you're likely to take less damage, and the faster the unit the better, so vultures can run effectively against them. They also "dud" after they travel far enough and deal no damage, and this is buggy especially with workers in no clip mode like if you tell them to mine minerals somewhere when you run them away. The workers stack up on themselves and the scarab sits there blinking and then does no damage.

For the next ASL, why not continue with the current 4 player format all throughout the tournament? For RO8, the first 4 players will be the 1st tier or first 4 players to advance and the second 4 players will be the 2nd tier or second 4 players to advance. That way they will still play with all the players and no need to draw lots.

The fact that Korean Terrans dont use Ghosts vs Carriers is kinda triggering. I mean, is it that costly to inlcude like 4-5 ghosts tech in Lockdown and start locking down Carriors and kill them with Goliaths? I've seen one European streamer that counterd Carriors with Chosts and he was rocking! Might not have been on the GSL level game, but it was working nice.. Can for real someone explain what stops them to at least try some ghosts? All i see Terrans do is just zug zug Goliaths and eventually loose the long game...
