Thank you for sharing this. As a dancer I experienced this tips myself these days and found it very helpful to my skills. The tips helps both modern dance and hip hop/house. The speed of memorizing choreography will develop by your skills, but these tips are still very very important for every performer. Especially practicing in an opposite way, it'll be difficult and weird for the first time, but it also helps improve your body's ability to make equal powerful moves and the balance of your body. Thank you so much for filming this video💖💖💖💖💖

I remember the interview of some trainees, they are good dancers that they've passed to become a trainee in kr but their teachers told them that they lacked in basics. Hearing about basics once again made me realize that is it really important, not just in dance but also in life. You can't reach the genuine top without the bottom.
@sol80355 жыл бұрын
I've been dancing for a few years now but it's all been self taught. I joined a dance club but we just do dance covers rather than our own choreography so I don't have real experience with dancing. I hardly know the basics so if you can I would love to see you make a video teaching the basics if it's not too much to ask :)) I love your choreography and have been a long time fan 💕💕 much love

I have been actually into dancing for a while and I'm starting with no mirror. I can't even see myself when I'm memorizing the moves 'cause I practice at home and don't take classes. I wish I could but they're too far from where I am. I record myself when I'm done and that's when I fix my movements that I thought was off. I'm still on like the really basics of dance but I hope that I improve overtime and can finally attend classes. Thanks for the tips Mina! I'll definitely keep them in mind!

I agree with the other comments. Also, you’ll start to notice the more choreography you see the more you see the same moves just slightly different. Focus on learning the simplified version of those moves (like maybe just arms or just legs) and that will help you learn variations of that move. Remember to break down new moves into all of its parts, like every move from head to toe (for example, the hand shape, wrist movements, neck movements, weight shifting, torso position, traveling, etc) Also a lot of beginner classes have simple moves that still require technique, like balance and quick weight shifting. Practicing stuff like that will help you get to more complex moves. I wish you luck on your dance journey!

I mostly do the first to learn a choreo. I learned your toxic choreo with Gosh when I started at night and practiced the next day, all I need to do was polish the dance. Just by watching it a lot and dance it on the spot to learn the moves, I managed to practice it fast. I also joined my previous schools dancers club with a great moderator so that also helped a bit. Love you Mina

When I learnt at 1M from 5 different choreographers both beginners and normal, I noticed a HUGE difference in my movement. My moves became more free and I felt more opened up and flexible, plus I had energy/power in my moves naturally(I didn't have to try hard to show power). I even gained confidence while dancing. Before, I used to dance while looking at the floor but after a few classes at 1M I started looking infront. But I did noticed that while dancing, I still looked at the mirror instead of the camera lens when I was chosen to dance with Minyoung Park for filming. So that's one thing I need to improve. Thank you Mina for the tips and thank you 1M

I really appreciate this so much. When I go to classes I often spend a couple practice rounds of the song just marking or thinking of the steps in my head and not doing it out- and people look at me like, 'why isn't she dancing?', so I'm glad I'm not a weirdo to everyone (I hope lmao). I also can completely relate to your concerns about quality vs. quantity. Nowadays it's like, there's two people in class and one remembers all the steps but executes okay, while the other has stronger technique but misses some steps, and then the former is considered higher level? Mixed feelings about that. QUALITY and training always!! Anyways, thank you SO MUCH for your advice and input, will put to use fa sizzles

I am not interested in dancing, but I wanted to see if I could make any comparisons to personal experiences. It really seems like it's the same no matter what you do. When I played games the most, I could pick up a new game and still be better than most other people. However, after not playing as much for a couple of years, I could really feel how my skills had deteriorated. They were quickly built up again, but it's really obvious that if you slack off even a little, you'll fall behind. Dedication is extremely important, no matter what you do. Learning how to do something properly from the beginning is also good, as you can get rid of bad habits from the beginning.
