One of the greatest Korean historical dramas, the best of the best. Historical accuracies /inaccuracies, cinematography, setting, casting, acting and script. Madam Baek Mu and Madam Mae Hyang were very good teachers. This series is a work of art iteslf.

Eunho was a fool and a coward. Spineless child who didn't have the courage to stand up against his mother for someone he loved. I wanted Jini to leave him alone from that moment that his mother poured that hot water. What Eunho was supposed to do was protect Jini from the water and let it pour him instead. That way, he'd have made a statement to everyone.

I thought so too but after what he went through in the last episodes, can't call him a coward. He was genuine and truly loved Jini. He spent time learning how to farm, was willing to sacrifice his high class life for her, made sure to see her everyday and let's not forget he spent an entire night in the rain until he bled to his death for her. He's was her true love

so you need a bit of ancient korean history knowledge to understand what's going on, cuz the new minister character was a protege/pupil/student of a famous political figure who wanted to bring radical change to the government, but his political enemies didn't like him changing the old ways... so they framed him and got him killed for treason. The king was powerless against this as well, because he was chosen by the officials to replace his corrupted half-brother king, so he was more like a puppet at the time. The officials had more say in what to do with the governing of the country and he was painfully aware of how weak he was. He liked the guy that got framed for treason because that guy truly care about the country and the king....... so he's very attached to this new minister person, who I said is a student of the guy who was falsely accused, and he is saying he should've died along with his teacher when his teacher was framed and killed. He left the government because he couldn't stand how corrupted everyone was, and the king is imploring him to come back and be on his side because he literally has no one on his side.
