Gentle giants that need to be appreciated and protected. The elephant looks beautiful, sensei! Thank you!

DearMGDEM. African elephants are not gentle giants. They are dangerous especially when in the wild. Working with wild animals for years - they are dangerous. A Very dear friend was killed by a bull coming out of the bushes and goring him with a tusk. It happened on his farm where the elephants knew him. One should always have respect for wild animals. Greetings from sunny South Africa.

@@marianaeksteen4437 Ooo! I didn't know about this. I've only seen them in documentaries so I assumed they were. And I've also seen them in zoos or enclosures. I had no idea they can be dangerous Thanks for the knowledge!
Ever since i saw you do the paint scrape, i've tried doing it in my practices and it does work. It does help for detailing works. Thank you shibasaki-sensei!
This watercolour is very expressive and shows well the beauty, strength and majesty of the elephant, an emblematic animal par excellence. Thank you for sharing. ♥️👩🎨
Painting an 'underneath' colour that glows through the scratches of the overtop darker colour of the elephant is an excellent idea that I have not considered before. Thank you for this and ALL the other valuable tips you present in your videos! I appreciate you as a great and favoured Master teacher!

I have seen several watercolour artists on KZbin.. but no one compares to you.. your style is unique.. it is loose yet controlled.. the end results are always awesome.. I have been using acrylics in the past several years, but watching you paint inspires me to switch to watercolours. Thank you.

I just painted an elephant and didn't like the finished product because I couldn't figure out a good way to make the lines all over the elephant....so I searched and found your video and wow your scraping technique got me so excited! Thank you for teaching this! I can't wait to try again, using your technique

Shibasaki sensei art is like magic, at first it all looks messy and like there is no real intention or logic to it, it looks crappy but then, and I can never realize when, it al becomes a master piece. Amazing

I really love the contrast between dark and pastel background, also the grittiness of the elephant skins compared with the soft sunset. So beautiful!!
